Center of Yekaterinburg
After two years in Yekaterinburg, my return to Serbia was approaching. Upon leaving the job, I wanted to met with my colegue in pizzeria. Only after I entered, he informed me that he would be late. I decided to wait for him and sat down in a restaurant. Two nice girls sat at the next table. They finished dinner. In order to spend the time, I started talking to them, and they accepted it because I was funny to them. I told them I'm Italian. They suspected and asked to hear something in Italian. So we exchanged a few jokes.
They had to go earlier and I suggested that we should have dinner together tomorrow. A girl whose smile delighted me, laughing wondered, "With which of us?" I told her, "With you". She answered, we'll see.
I tried to get her phone number but without any success. Then I suggested that we met tomorrow at the same time. She laughed and said: Maybe the day after tomorrow.
Restaurant where we met
The day after tomorrow at the same time, I was at the same pizza place, but she was not there. Fifteen minutes later, her friend appeared. She said that Tanja could not come and gave me the paper with her phone number and told me to contact her. The next evening, we drank tea in one cafe on the street. The conversation went exactly the way I wanted. Her correct figure, black eyes and a really special smile encouraged me the desire to see her again. We both went home but with an agreement to see again. A few hours later, she wrote SMS, that she liked acquaint with me.
Square, where we often walked
From the next day we met every day and the adventure lasted. We spent at least a couple of hours together. She was divorced and had an eight-year-old daughter. She told me that her obligations do not allow us to meet frequently. She suggested that I move in with her. I promised after a holiday. However my departure from Yekaterinburg was not on vacation but in one direction. I convinced myself that I should use the rest of the time as best as possible.
The street I lived in
She accepted my going to Serbia. There was some doubt, but she thought I would be back. When I left, I thought it wil be better not to call her again. But she always wrote me. I answered her first letter that things were complicated and that my return was not certain. After a while, I wrote to her that investors took our business away and that my return to Yekaterinburg was almost impossible. I promised her that in a month, I would come to see her but only for a few days.
I did not mean it seriously, but I knew that this promise would not be much comforting. She did not write to me for twenty days, and then a letter came. She asked me am I coming because one month almost passed? Although I did not plan to do it, I decided to go to Yekaterinburg.
In the plane
I told her that I would come for 3 days, that I only had one meeting in the company and that I would spend the rest of my time with her. And really, the first two days we were constantly together, her daughter was with her mother. The third day she told me that she must go to her mother because her daughter does not feel good. She once again wanted that I stay in Yekaterinburg, so that we can live together. She was aware that everything was complicated, but she suggested that we try.
She agreed to live in Belgrade. I promised her that I would provide the conditions for us in Belgrade. Without optimism, she agreed to that and asked me bring her a glass of juice. When I returned, my computer's bag wasn’t in the same place. She drank the juice, and ordered a cab. “I want to see you again the next day” I said. She replied that she certainly will not be able. As always, when she came home, she called me to confirm that she arrived safely. This time, she asked me to open the computer bag and look at the first pocket for something she left me. It was a pendant, a golden dolphin. She said that it would bring me luck. I felt defeated. I wondered what happiness after so many selfishness?
I went to Serbia, life went on, she wrote me once to think of me. I answered her, it was unbelievable to promise something again that we do not believe in. I took the pendant to the Church of Saint Sava and I wished happiness to her.

It's been a couple of months, March 8th came, I congratulated her on the holiday. I asked what was happening with her? She said everything was normal. After a few more months, her photos appeared on her Facebook profile. She married an Englishman. After two days, one acquaintance wished her a happy trip to England.
All photos are mine.
