Oh that must have hurt and they might have being doing that unknowingly.
I thin its same with most parents they pay more attention to one child they feel is doing well…. ( unconsciously)

Yes feelings should be controlled and guided but in some cases it should be expressed. Based on the topic of discussion i think it should be expressed.
