Self-experiment! - Blind spot! - Find out your blindspot in 2min! - Explanation
Did you know that you have a blind spot by your view?
Actually, you can't see your blind spot because you have two eyes.
So the blind spot from one eye get replaces with the view from the other eye.
But if you close one eye, you can find out where the blind spot for the eye is.
But before we jump to the self-experiment let's first learn, why this really happens.
It's really simple.
At the place where the optic nerve leaves the eye, there are no receptors. The receptors are responsible for the fact that the light fluxes can be processed and later transformedd as an image.
Therefore, if no receptors are present, no image can't be formed in this area.
So that's why we have a blind spot!
Now let's do the self-experiment!
- Close your left eye and focus with the right eye the black point on the image.
- Change the distance to the point till you can't see the point anymore, then you got the blind spot!
If you found your blind spot, comment below. Congratulation! :)
