Hello everyone, my name is Goldcellin, and this is my first time to post a blog. So please forgive me, if I make mistakes. I also thank you for letting me know your opinion and suggestion. I wanted to join this art contest some weeks ago, but I got caught up studying for school and just managed to finish it yesterday. The character I drew is Wood Nymph.
The reason is simple. Wood Nymph is my favorite character in Splinterlands. I really like her, especially when I first started to play the game.
Wood Nymph is a common Earth character, who has support ability such as Tank heal and Strengthen. With the ability to heal monster at first most position (the tank), she has become a much needed support in every battle.
I first started out by drawing the character on a piece of paper. Later I decided to convert it to digital form and trimming the outline a bit, using ibis Paint X for Android.
Here I simply apply basic color for her hair, and then her skin. After that's left to color is the flower.
For the shadow, I just pick a darker color than the basic color.
For the highlight I use a lighter color than the basic color, and I also use a bit yellow color.
For the background I use images of a field and a big tree, which I find on internet.
