Life is what happens when we make other plans

I always wanted to become a priest but when I found out that celibacy is a requirement I changed my mind. I ended up becoming a musician instead. Making a full time living as an artist is not so easy. You need to have the right network of people so for a few years I worked in a bar to pay my bills. One day I got a phone call from one of my teachers at the conservatory asking if I was interested in playing in an orchestra in Barcelona. His colleague got the bird flu and they needed someone to replace him so they asked me. Because of that one gig I met the right people and I could quit my job at the bar. It is kind of strange huh.. How sometimes things can work out in life.
