So, the marijuana industry is booming in some of the U.S. these days. Medicinal, recreational, decriminalization, ...trap music. Its all big business.
Florida recently got a grant for $3.2million dollars to research the effects of marijuana on those of us with living with HIV.
It will involve 400 persons living with HIV infection to identify relationships between marijuana consumption and control of HIV symptoms, HIV viral suppression, markers of chronic inflammation, and cognitive or behavioral aspects of health.
Unfortunately, I dont live in FL. (Maybe with some generous upvoting? LoL).
*Florida has the third-highest number of residents living with HIV infection in the U.S., according to a 2015 study conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Anyhow, the thing is, Trump's administration is trying to take a step back and remove the states rights to police themselves in the matter. Reminding state legislators that its still federally illegal, and that Trump carries "the big stick" right now.
Sooo, wtf happens with this 3 million dollar grant?! They are working with dispensaries to keep themselves legal, and not house the illegal substance. But if there is no dispensary, I assume the research will continue in other ways,
