“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him (Jesus), and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.” Matthew 9:20-21 KJV. In Mark chapter 5 it says in this story that the woman suffered greatly by the hands of the physicians and spent all she had. It also says that Jesus was in a large crowd and they all pressed around Him. This is not the best place for a frail woman that has been sick 12 years. If you ever have suffered blood loss, you are weak and you have no strength. She is desperate. She has no money left, the doctors got it all. All she had was her faith. She had what I call Pitbull faith. She was not going to let go . This was her last chance. I could see this frail and weak woman reach through the crowd and push with every ounce of strength to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. It took every thing she had. No one knew except for Jesus. The apostles were amazed when Jesus said who touched me? They thought Jesus was nuts because the Bible says that the crowd pressed him. They probably said how can Jesus know that someone touched Him. Jesus was moved by her faith not her touch. Her faith reached heaven. Sometimes we need to have Pitbull faith and reach out to Jesus with every ounce of faith we have. Sometimes it may be just us. My word for today is “You can do it.” Reach out to him with all you have for your situation. Blessings. Bd.
