Iceland
Iceland is an island of volcanic origin, which is located between the European continent and the North American continent. Its capital, Reykjavík, is the northernmost in the world. Of incredibly varied nature, it has incredible tourist attractions. It is worth mentioning that during the summer the sun does not set, while in the winter the sky is full of Northern Lights.
Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, is a beautiful cosmopolitan city that has several museums, galleries and cafés. One of the things that most attracts the attention of visitors is the surprising variety of colors of the houses and ceilings. Among its main attractions are the Hallgrímskirkja church and the Öskjuhlíð hill, where the spectacular Perlan building is located. It also has parks, pedestrian areas, a lake in the center of the city, and a thermal beach just 15 minutes from downtown.
The northern region of Iceland offers visitors a fascinating natural landscape, such as Akureyri and Lake Mývatn, both of which are a must. This region can be divided into three areas of great tourist interest:
the western fjords, the central area with the northern capital Akureyri and the Lake Mývatn area with the Krafla lava fields and the Dettifoss, Hafragilsfoss and Réttarfoss waterfalls. Also, you can participate in whale watching in the city of Húsavík.
