Blessed start of the week I wish you all from the bottom of my heart, today I want to join the initiative proposed by the dear friend @rosahidalgo, many times those signs come and we quickly realize them and we decide to walk away, but there are other times that we do not want to realize until we step on the bottom and that's when we start to value us first and decide to leave.
I share my story with you.
Many years ago before I met my husband, I had a relationship with a guy who I thought would be my partner for life, we both live in the same city although 20 minutes away from each other, but he worked in another city and I studied in the same city, that's how we met because we coincided in the same transport almost every day.
After a few months of sharing the same transportation, we started to get to know each other until one day we decided to formalize our relationship, we talked to our parents and both families were happy with our relationship, it turned out that as the world is small his father was a classmate of my mother's in her elementary school, so for them and us it was like a dream come true.
Every day we met at the same bus stop and together we had breakfast on the bus, when I left my classes I passed by his work and if it was lunchtime we did it together, but when I left class late we met at the bus stop on the way back to our city and he accompanied me home almost every afternoon.
On weekends we shared them, sometimes we went out to the recreation park, to the movies or simply spent them with his family or ours sharing games, karaoke or went for a walk in the afternoon with our younger siblings, our free time was to be together, there was not a weekend that we did not see each other.
As the months went by our parents were already talking about marriage and it seemed fine to us, so we joined them in their plans and agreed to give us enough time for me to finish my studies and then we would finalize the commitment and set a date for the big event, everything seemed like a fairy dream, I had my prince charming (brunette) and the perfect in-laws, what more could I ask for.

First sign
One day when we were leaving his house a girl approached him and kissed him on the cheek and something inside me told me that she did not come with good intentions, she told him after greeting him and with a mischievous smile - remember that soon will be my 15 years and you are my companion - to which he replied - find another one I already have a mistress - despite what he answered the feeling of alertness did not disappear, so we talked about it and he promised me that he would not agree to be the companion of that girl.
From that day on he started to arrive late to our meeting place, so I went alone to my institute, when I passed by his work he was always busy, one day I told him that I would not be at home because we would go out with the family on an excursion and I invited him but he told me that he was full of work, I did not insist and let the time pass, instead of waiting for him when I arrived at the bus stop if he was not there I simply took the transport and went to my classes.
Second sign
So the days went by and I started to make plans with my classmates for our graduation, we already had 6 weeks without seeing each other, from time to time we talked on the phone because according to him, he had a sick foot and was staying at his grandparents' house, because of the proximity to his work, although at first I believed him something told me that I should find out more.

When I knew it was time for me to leave.
One day when I was about to meet my fellow students, I met by chance one of his younger brothers and when I asked him about him and his health, he told me
- He is now in rehearsals for Lucia's waltz, and when did he get sick?
So I discreetly smiled and told him - it was just to ask - I introduced him to my classmates and we said goodbye.
That day I decided that I should love me more than him and that if he had not been brave enough to tell me the truth and cover his faults with lies, I would be brave and despite the pain it caused me that afternoon after finishing the unfinished business with my classmates, I went to his house and met his parents who when they saw me asked me why I had not gone to visit them, I smiled and told them:
- It was not my fault, certain things are out of place and that is why I am here, to put things in order.
Her father - I don't understand Gladys, I don't understand everything is fine between you.
Me - it's not, but I think that's something I should talk to your son about first, I can wait for him.
Her mother - of course daughter wait, you are at home.

When he arrived his surprise was incalculable, his face changed colors like a chameleon and I imagine he wanted to be swallowed by the earth but it was not so, his parents left us alone and he wanted to take the floor but I did not let him, I was the one who spoke returning him a ring and a necklace that he had given me I told him - I hope you are very happy with her, that you value her as a great treasure and do not neglect her as you did me, so for the good of both if we cross each other on the road pretend you do not know me, I will do the same.
I left his house saying goodbye to his parents and leaving him to explain to them what happened, when I got home I simply picked up all the cards and gifts he had given me and put them in a box, I told my mother and brother that there would be no marriage and that I didn't want questions; they knew that when I didn't want to talk there was no way they would make me do it; I changed my clothes and went for a run to drain the rage, it hurt yes it hurt but I learned that if I didn't respect myself no one else would.
The next day he came to my house to try to solve things, but when he saw that I did not want to talk to him, he came back in the afternoon to his parents to see if they could change my mind, when I saw his father's car arrive, I called a cousin to pick me up and he agreed; I called a cousin to come for me to the house and he agreed, so as he was only three houses away it did not take him long to arrive, when I left my room his parents and he were talking to my mother and brother, I went out and greeted his parents and said goodbye at the same time telling them - I said yesterday what I had to say, if your son does not know how to value his word I know how to value mine I am sorry for you, but it is always better what happens, I went out with my cousin and left them at home.
Since then our paths have gone in different directions, we have crossed paths but as I told you that day I pretend I don't know you.
