Hi, Hivers! Last week, I heard my nephew wanting to go around one of the lakes in my hometown. (We have 7 lakes by the way.) But it was postponed because no one would come with them so before the weekend, I told them I coming with them on Saturday.

It was also the day of the kids' intramurals in school but they still have plenty of energy for the walk around Sampaloc Lake.

The first thing they did was to buy taho while admiring the view.

There were a lot of people in the view deck during weekends. The wind was a bit chilly, the sweet kind of chill.

The sun was setting when we started to walk around the lake which is 3.7km.

I would stop once in a while to take photos of the small restaurants and cafe that we passed by.

It got darker as we walked further. The part where you can see series of lights is where we came from.

My sister got tired of the walk. At our pace, it took 1 hour to circle the whole lake but if we ran, we can reach the endpoint in 30mins.SDD - Sampaloc Lake 9.png

This is what the kids came here for. To see lights of the giant balls on the water. They have been waiting for it for quite sometime but the light show just started recently.

Next, ofcourse, is food trip! But I was not able to take photos of the food haha!

Before going back home, the kids went to the park where there is a playground. Just how easily kids are able to make friends.

We finally decided to go back home. But before that, quick snap at the tall Christmas tree in front of the old capitol building (now museum).

To be honest, I got used to this place too much that I consider it a normal place in my hometown but to the kids, this is more than that. It is one of their happy place.

That wraps our weekend stroll. Thank you so much for stopping by!
