Hey everyone! My name is Gino van Alberda, a 23-year-old Dutch guy from a little town called Deurne. If I were to describe myself I would say that I’m a dreamer with a lot of passion for what I do. What do I do? I make gelato! That’s right, I’m currently Co-owner of an ice cream parlor called ‘’IJssalon Italia’’ in my hometown. 22 years ago my parents started this adventure and I’m planning to continue it. There’s only one difference, I want to make it way bigger then it already is.
That means that I’m going to participate in contests, earns myself the title ‘’Master ice cream master’’ (A title only 30 people in the Netherlands have acquired) and of course challenging myself to go for the top. I know I have a long way to eventually get where I want to be, but I made a good start. This year I’ve obtained my first diploma and working on the second one. In December a contest is held for best blue berry sorbet and I’m participating, it’s my first contest so I’m really excited!
Like I said, I’m nowhere where I want to be (yet). I have a lot to learn. I’m going to face challenges and I have to take risks, but I’m willing to do all that to make my dream come true. People don’t say ‘’live your life to the fullest’’ without reason.
So what brings me on Steemit? A friend of mine told me about it and showed me some of the content people posted. I was so enthusiastic about it that I signed myself up right after I got home (at 4 in the morning). I want to share my creations, my progress and of course my passion with you all!
