My day was spent in a town an hour away from us to attend a wedding of a friend.
The one who baked the cake was with us and we brought the three-layered cake! Can you imagine it? Oh dear! We really need to be extra careful, that it took us almost two hours to get to the place, instead of one hour only.
But, the bride and groom asked the guests not to post the event to any social media platform. So, the only thing I can post is the cake that my friend baked, and the surroundings where the reception was held.
This is a real three-layer chocolate cake, with no fillers! The peach icing is intended for the wedding's motif--peach and royal blue. And the chocolate cake is one of the best that I have tasted!
Hibiscus are abundant in the Philippines. It comes in different sizes, shapes, and colors.
There are single and double-petalled ones; there are plain and corrugated edges; there are even close and open flowers!
And they all smile at you! 馃尯
The reception was on top of the hill, overlooking a river and the town proper. There were many beautiful flowers around.
After eating all those calories from a sumptuous wedding party, I know I HAVE TO EXERCISE and burn it! So after arriving home, I had an evening walk. I feel that walking was not enough so I jogged. My plan was to jog for 15 minutes, but I am happy with my sweat and I couldn't stop. I jogged for 30 minutes! And I am happy with my personal achievement.
That has been my day--busy yet fulfilling.
