Hace unos días mi esposo y yo entramos en un debate, debido a que llevamos a nuestro hijo a sus primeras prácticas del béisbol y allí él nunca había practicado nada del deporte, ni estaba consciente de que debía hacer , los niños pequeños tienen varios entrenadores alrededor de tres o cuatro y cuando llegamos me senté relativamente cerca para ver como mi hijo se adaptaba al deporte ,una de las cosas que note , es que los entrenadores lo ponían a batear o atajar la pelota con la mano derecha.

A few days ago my husband and I got into a debate because we took our son to his first baseball practice and there he had never practiced any of the sport nor was he aware of what he was supposed to do, young children have several coaches about three or four and when we arrived I sat relatively close to see how my son was adapting to the sport one of the things I noticed is that the coaches were putting him to bat or catch the ball with his right hand

Ellos obviamente no sabían que él es Zurdo, y entonces allí comenzó el debate con mi esposo.

They obviously didn't know that he is a lefty, and so the debate with my husband began.

Why?

Resulta que nosotros nunca hemos forzado a nuestro hijo a usar una mano o la otra, él por su misma cuenta empezó a usar con mayor regularidad la mano izquierda.

Al principio cuando estaba más pequeño es decir bebé, usaba las dos manos pero luego comenzó a poner énfasis en el uso de la mano izquierda, tanto así que él escribe, come y se peina con esa mano con la izquierda.

It turns out that we have never forced our son to use one hand or the other, he started using his left hand more regularly on his own.

At first when he was a baby he used both hands but then he began to emphasize the use of his left hand so much so that he writes, eats and combs his hair with his left hand.

El hemisferio derecho controla algunas habilidades como la intuicion, el sentido artistico, el sentido musical , la percepción espacial y este controla la mano izquierda , en cambio el hemisferio derecho controla el razonamiento, habilidad numerica , lenguaje escrito y controla la mano derecha .

Son muchisimas las funciones que tienen cada uno de los hemisferios pero se concentran en ciertas y espescificas habilidades.

Cuando un niño es obligado a utilizar la mano con el cual no tiene habilidad este se vuelve torpe , porque su cerebro le envia una señal clara de que parte de su cuerpo debe mover .

La mayoria de los niños que son zurdos , pueden usar tambien alguna partes derechas de su cuerpo , pero las destrezas las tendra en la mano que su cerebro le envia la señal .

Mi hijo come , se cepilla los dientes , se peina , escribe , corta papel con la mano izquierda (tanto asi que tuve que comprar una tijera para zurdos), y nosotros nunca le enseñamos , lo hizo solo , ni su papa ni yo somos zurdos .

A pesar de que este mundo esta diseñado para derechos , no debemos pensar que hay algo malo en lo diferente . Sino entender que la belleza de la vida radica en las diferencias .

Although this world is designed for rights, we should not think that there is something wrong with what is different. But understand that the beauty of life lies in differences.
