FROM GRASS TO GRACE

Jude is a young man from a family of four who is the senior of all children. These simply made all the responsibilities of the family to be on his shoulders since his parents were already very old. There were not under the upper class nor the middle but at the bottom chain of this economic status in the society. Their living was basically from hand to mouth since there used all there got in sending their first son (Jude) to school.

Jude, on the other hand, is a graduate of Accountancy, but for over ten (10) years now since his graduation, he hasn't gotten a job yet, but he had been very much hard-working, and it was quite a struggle for him. For his parents and siblings were all looking up to him for there sent him to school with all there had with the intention of him coming back to return the favor to his other siblings and take good care of them.

Things were really bad for Jude's family but he prayed all day for things to be better, Jude very much prayed, worked, and as well had lots of plans on his mind to work on but there was no means of accomplishing all those things. While waiting for a very good job that will change the story of his life and that of his family he was managing at a construction company where there were paid daily this was the money there usually used to feed at home. But the state of his life and family background did not make him lose focus, he remained humble, sincere, and honest which made him outstanding.

It happened that at work one faithful day, while at work their boss happened to misplace a huge amount of money, usually this was supposed to be the pay for all the workers for that day, for he had earlier gone to the bank to get this money so he could pay his workers, their boss was totally in a state of confusion, how did he drop that money, how could he, how come? questions flooded through his mind. Due to Jude's dedication to work he stayed back as usual to the final closing so he could lock up the place for others have gone home without pay due to the lost money as Jude was on his last activity, he happened to stumble upon leather which was not supposed to be in such a place and when he opened it, he saw in it money that could change his life, how did this money get here, who dropped it, how come, he asked himself, he thought of what he could do with all this money. He locked up and took the money home, he called the attention of his family there were shocked and asked him where he got such money from then he narrated how it went.

immediately his parents rebuked him and ask him to take the money back the next day to work and make reasonable inquiries about it if no one comes to claim, then there know what to do. Jude went straight into his boss's office was very much in a state of disarray, totally disorganized, immediately he saw Jude he wanted to shout and ask him out but since Jude is one of his best workers he gave him a listening ear then he got the shock of his life. Jude gave him the money and was shocked to see how relieved and free his boss was not knowing it was his boss that misplaced the money.
