I have always been interested in getting into some NFT project on Ethereum but I've also always found dealing with Eth stuff rather intimidating so it seems I had to get involved with Splinterlands and the Hive blockchain in order to finally get my first mint on Eth. 😁

It all began with me connecting my Metamask wallet to Opensea.

I was eligible for 1 mint since I was lucky enough to get a whitelist spot last month for a total of 100 vouchers.

So here goes nothing after confirming the transaction fee and gas fee:

My mint was complete! 😎

Since there were a lot of people minting at the same time I had to wait for about an hour until my Runi was finally revealed.

Everybody was getting offers from bots and whatnot even before the actual Runi was revealed. As you can see I could have 2x my money before even seeing it. I am not minting it to sell it though so tough luck for the Opensea market players. 😝

So, as I said after about an hour it was finally revealed in its true glory! 😁

Well at first I had a bit of mix feelings about it but I think it's been growing on me more and more, haha. I kind of wish the color scheme matched a bit better. If the head was also pinkish it would have been perfect but it is what it is. 🤓

Here are the traits it has at the time of writing (about 900 Runi minted):

I've got at least 2 pretty rare ones so I hope they remain that way until all of the Runi are minted.😎 Looking forward to taking my Runi into battle on the battlefields of Praetoria. Time to kick some Chaos Legion a*ses... 😝
