After showcasing Chaos Dragon in the previous Dragon-themed Share Your Battle, this time around I have chosen to showcase a Monster which is part of the Dragon line-up but is not an actual dragon. The being in question is Djinn Chwala. The Djinn Chwala is one of the more easily accessible cards in the current Splinterlands meta due to the fact that it is a reward card which drops from the daily quest/season end chests, so a lot of people either obtain it organically or buy it really cheaply.
Now before getting into the stats discussion of the Monster, let's have a sneak peak into its lore: Dawn of the Djinn 4 of 4 - Only a short time after the Djinn were released, most of them were already seeing their elemental captivity as a blessing rather than a curse. They had far greater power than before, now that they were working with the force of the Planet at their backs. Pursuit of power was at the core of Belludae beliefs, so most of them would make small sacrifices for greater power.
The Djinn have not all found one another, and it will be difficult for them to do so since many of them reside in different elements. This is why several of the Djinn have submitted themselves as cards in the Moxian games, so they can connect with their lost brethren. Gradually they will come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense, channeling the power of the Planet into an impenetrable wall to hold back the Chaos Legion.
So the Djinn seem to be pretty powerful beings, and I am sure that a Djinn who has decided to present itself in a dragon-like avatar is even more fearsome.😝
Okay, now that we have a vague idea of what the Djinn Chwala is, let us have a look at its stats and abilities at the key different levels.
It starts off with its signature ability - Thorns at level one. It is a very powerful ability for low-mana and low-league match-ups.
At level 4 it gains the Enrage ability which is a pretty decent addition to its already substantial melee superiority
At level 6 the Dragon wannabe Djinn gains the True Strike ability to make sure it always lands those hits when they really matter.
Now that we have gotten acquainted with the stats of the Monster and its abilities, let us have a look at the two battles I have chosen to showcase.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<BATTLE 1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The first (and only) position in my line-up for this battle is occupied by our protagonist - Djinn Chwala. This Monster is very suitable for low mana matches, as opponents often opt for low-health melee Monsters, which grants them swift death.
It is time for a quick round by round analysis:
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<BATTLE 2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Djinn Chwala is again first to take a dive in the action but they are not alone this time around 😜
I have Corpse Fiend in the 3rd position due to the fact that it is a 0-mana cost Monster, so I often sneak it in the last spot to protect its teammates from at least a hit from a Monster with Sneak/Opportunity
A quick round by round analysis:
The Djinn Chwala might not be a real, real dragon but it is still a formidable warrior part of the Dragon faction. It is the perfect fighter for those low-mana battles where you feel like playing Quix or some other dragon summoner but you can't pull out that Chaos Dragon because of mana constraints. Besides breathing fire onto your enemies is fun but it gets old pretty quickly, "thorning" them to death on the other hand is always amusing... 😝
