It's an island
Ueumdo
With the construction of the Sihwa embankment, the water dried up between Ueumdo, which was a small island, and the land across. It is now a land that is broadly divided into one, and there are only seaweeds, reeds, and sand. I've heard that some people sometimes go to the rainy season for that reason. 'Hangdangdang' refers to the sea rock that floats like an anchored boat in the middle of rain.
Visiting
Feeling
The rainy season is easily noticeable just by visiting dinosaur fossils, climbing the Songsan Green City Observatory, or driving on a nearby road. It's very wide, flat, and empty. Empty usually refers to vanity or lightness, but woo-do comes in a mysteriously opposite way. Full and full Occasionally, when you pass by, you can see the faces of the people in the car looking at Umdo Island. People who pass there usually experience Ueumdo by passing by car or by parking in a vacant lot for a while and walking through the reed forest. Just feeling down from the car will make you feel different. However, some people come for a few hours to walk, or they pack their camping gear and spend the night. Such a person
This is the place where they go. You have to walk an hour off the road to get there. When you start walking so far away, you may be wondering if you are going to find the right place.
The City Hall (also called the Hell Buri Party) is literally the place where rituals were held. It is three kilometers from 10 o'clock in Ueumdo Island, with white rocks about 100 meters in diameter. The old people believed that this place in the middle of the tidal flat would protect those who went out to sea. It is said that the rock was landed twice a day when the water was drained, and when his wife, who was waiting for her husband who went to the sea, was killed by the high tide, she died and was sacrificed to soothe her soul. As time went by and the North Korean spy line appeared in the 1970s, the military built an army post on every rock
The border was closed, and the flooding caused the soldiers to guard the post, resulting in the closure of the post.
Whether you know it or not, it feels creepy when you touch an empty post. Broken windows, dark buildings, and thick concrete walls are old and worn, making them feel like a waste house. Its weirdness is combined with the empty landscape around it to create a strange beauty. In each neighborhood, everyone gets fewer words.
Without water
At sea
Road construction leading to Songsan Techno Valley will be in progress near each city hall. In previous photographs, there was a wide plain around each city hall, and when I visited, the surrounding ground was dug so hard to access. The hourly building stood like an island on a cliff. The rumor is that even if there is a road construction, each city hall is left unbroken, but it is unfortunate that you can not help it. Wouldn't it be easier for people going down the road to see each city as an empty army post? The reason why people have visited this place over and over was probably the process that can be reached only by walking long, the vain feeling that you could feel while standing around each hall and the 'good vanity' that is becoming hard to experience these days. Perhaps after a long time, each city hall and Ueumdo became an island again. Of course, not many people have been looking for it, and for some people a road will open up and make it easier to find. And the profound reason for the road will be more than I expect. While looking at the city hall from a distance, I was not sure if I missed my old days or was looking forward to what would happen in the future. 'Time is passing.' I think I just thought that.
How long does it take to get a new look? A long time ago, rumors of pioneering the soundness of many people were disappointed. Nevertheless, whether the construction is slow or not so wide that it doesn't leak out, it still remains by our side. I hear from people who I missed a few years ago that they still go to Ummido. If you hear the word Ueumdo, the eyes of people who are looking out the window while they are driving around the car continue to float in their heads. I can't explain what they saw, but if you can find that faint and precious feeling in the near future,
I envy you. Looking at the dry sea, each one of them was a boat. When and where can we feel the 'feeling of the ship' again?
We see that Ueum Island is always an island, and that each city hall is always waiting for someone.
