Today, my son and I went shopping to stock up on supplies for two weeks. The first thing we always buy is meat: chicken, beef, and pork. We bought two boneless chicken breasts and chicken wings.

We bought four beef steaks. We bought smoked pork chops and regular pork chops. We also bought some ground beef and beef ribs to make soup.

That's the most important part of our shopping and the one we spend the most money on. We usually spend about $50 on groceries.

Then we buy flour, rice, spaghetti, sugar, salt, and oil.

Next, we buy cleaning supplies: dish soap and toilet paper, which are essential, and the rest we buy when we run out.

Then we go to the fruit section and buy some guavas, bananas, and peaches.

In the end, my son buys some candy and ends up buying and giving me something for myself. In the end, the total cost is $130 for what seems like such a small amount or variety of products.

In the next fortnight, we will make very similar purchases, except for slight changes in fruit and cleaning supplies.

Something that caught my attention was this bar with the bottles arranged side by side. It immediately occurred to me that it's a good thing we're not in an earthquake zone, because all those bottles would be unstable and disaster would ensue.
