I took a stroll in the woods with my girlfriend, it was a Thursday afternoon and the weather was quite beautiful.
It has been raining heavily for some days and a lot of people went out to feel the warmth of the sun. We were teasing around when I noticed an aged woman struggling to lift some wood, I approached to offer help but she was too old to carry them and I wondered if she had no one to help.
Without hesitation, I offered help to take it home for her and she refused but I insisted. She pointed to a cottage from where we were and we moved.
I was going ahead while my girlfriend walked by her side, the place wasn't as close as I thought.
We eventually got there and helped her with some other things, she was happy.
We were about to take our leave when she said she had a gift for us, I smiled and told her not to bother.
We promised to check her again to help her since there was no one around her, but she insisted on the gift, and we agreed to take it.
She brought out two seeds and mentioned that one of them has the power of immortality for three days and the other had nothing so I and my wife picked one each.
We thanked her and left, it looked like she was saying nonsense. We went our way to have fun before returning home later at night.
I placed my seed on the kitchen cabinet and assisted my girlfriend with cooking, I had my eye fixed on the seed while doing other stuff.
After dinner, I snapped the seed and started searching online for what kind of seed it would be.
I forgot to mention that I am a Marine Corp, I have access to some military search engines which I used but nothing came up. Out of curiosity, I swallowed the seed without my girlfriend knowing.
I thought it would disturb me but it didn't, I was expecting a switch but nothing happened, and I felt stupid to believe such a thing but my curiosity was cleared, or did I choose the wrong seed?
I couldn't ask my girl about her seed because she is intelligent and would suspect I used the seed, we agreed not to do so.
We slept and at 4 am, I got a call to return to base. We had an emergency rescue, I left home quickly and was checking the operation brief while driving.
It was a terrible mistake and I could have just waited a few minutes more to reach the base, I had my eyes glued to the iPad and I heard a loud bang.
A truck ran into my Jeep, I was beneath the truck but couldn't push the vehicle to move. While struggling to push the vehicle, I was struck by the fact that I should be dead but I wasn't.
Did I die? I found a way out of the burning vehicle without a single scratch or burn.
It worked, I exclaimed as I ran into the bush to avoid being seen by people around.
I took my lighter and burned my hand after escaping death but it didn't hurt. I ran from that scene to the Marine base, I didn't feel tired all through the race.
I got the briefing from the captain and soon we were in the submarine beneath the ocean, we wanted to hit the terrorist group who abducted some kids who went on a ship cruise with surprise, and traveling beneath the ocean was the only way.
We were close and the soldiers had to get off the submarine, we grabbed our gears and got off.
I was the first out and I was stunned by the sight of a blue whale traveling above the submarine.
We went in and got the ship under our control, the operation was smooth.
After the rescue, I saw the blue whale circle the ship and while no one was watching, I jumped into the ocean.
Who does such? Only an immortal man.
I took a picture with the whale and sent it to my girlfriend immediately after I got back on land, we spoke on phone and she warned me never to make a such play again.
"You could have gotten killed, you know I love you so why would you do things that could end your life" His girlfriend said as she hang up the phone angrily.
I felt bad and headed back home to apologize to her, I couldn't narrate what happened so I just kept my mouth shut.
I offered to take her hiking the next day just to comfort her since she loves nature, and that night I did lots of silly things.
I shot myself in the leg with a silent pistol, while she was sleeping. I stabbed myself several times and I wished I could keep the immortality forever. It was cool not to be affected by all these things.
We went hiking as promised, we were at the top of the mountain when I brought out a ring to propose to her.
I mentioned her name and she swung her hat while turning, I dodged the hat and the ring fell from the mountain top.
I completely forgot it was a public place so I jumped from thousands of feet to catch the ring. I could hear people scream while I was falling.
I shouldn't have done that.
I crashed into the rock when I landed, dusted my body, and picked up the ring.
Lots of people saw me land and they didn't believe how I could stand again by myself.
My girlfriend got down on an escalator, she was shocked to see me standing.
She was in tears already.
How is that even possible? Are you joking with me, George?
I can't deal with this anymore, I am always scared you might not come back from work someday, and here you are doing weird things since the weekend started.
She was about to leave when I called her name, she was reluctant to turn around but she did.
I was down on my knee with a ring.
She was wondering why I would put my life at risk just to impress her.
She eventually said yes after the tears from my eyes was slowly turning into an ocean.
What happened remained a mystery to many, I was summoned to base after my superiors saw the video of my fall from the mountain. The accident vehicle was traced to me, a video from a street camera captured me crawling out of the fire unhurt and I haven't gotten the chance to explain to my girlfriend how everything happened, I hope she figures it out from what happened on Thursday back in the woods.
I wrote this in an isolated military facility waiting for a medical check, they want to be sure I am human.
