I had a shallow knowledge about the Zodiac sign until 2015, I was sitting in a classroom in the Polytechnic when a lady boasted of her being a Sagittarius. I didn't want to look like an alien among them when a few other students started mentioning the attribute of their zodiac signs so I just smiled all through the conversation.
The discussion about the Zodiac signs got me wondering if these stars truly defined who we are and I didn't believe most of the things they said until I got home to check. I was blown away by the fact that I have some of the traits attributed to my Zodiac sign.
As an Aries, I agree with being ambitious, honest, brave, creative, and others but is that the case for everyone born between March 21 to April 19?
I have always understood that there is a bad side to every good thing and I dug deeper for the bad side of being an Aries. It would interest you to know that I possess none of the negative sides of an Aries, I have lots of imperfections and none aligned with that of an Aries.
According to the star, Aries has anger issues and that's the one that turned me off most. All my life, I can tell how many times I have gotten angry because I only see it as an element that wears me out. I have sought peace with people you won't believe if I told you what they did, we still communicate and I haven't seen any reason to hate them.
I have a friend who was born on the same day as me, we grew up in the same environment and he is just too cool.
***It got me wondering where the anger as a characteristic of an Aries came from or has the Zodiac sign evolved between then and now?
It doesn't mean there aren't people born between this time that have anger issue but making the Zodiac sign look like a collective thing doesn't make sense. It might be true or not because we can't expect it to be 100% accurate but I still don't find it defining who I am.
These things may be true to an extent but the obsession with the Zodiac signs shouldn't be something we should be trapped in. The Zodiac signs are claims of some human studies about people born within a time frame and there shouldn't be too much fuss about it because the need to believe in it is a choice we aren't forced to make.
I don't have problems with the Zodiac signs because they really don't define who I am but it makes me sick to see people let the Zodiac make them act unwisely.
The Sagittarius I mentioned earlier became my close friend and she kept running into financial crises because her Zodiac sign says she is a risk taker.
Does being a risk taker deprive someone of thinking or having senses?
She kept running into scams with heavy funds all in the name of taking risks and when we talk about it, her claim about those things being natural because of her zodiac sign pisses me off. These things are studies made by man, they aren't natural knowledge to me, and allowing it to influence us negatively is just a terrible mistake.
I have come across weird experiences and discussions about Zodiac signs that left me with so many "why's".
The Zodiac signs are been used for matchmaking and yet the relationship ends up in a total mess despite the sign saying that a particular star is perfect with the other when in a relationship.
Does that mean that all the relationships between none matching stars have collapsed or will collapse?
Shouldn't a relationship be about feelings, emotions, and compatibility? So what's with the matching stars or are the signs compatibility theory bigger than love?
Leo sign says people born under that star are loyal, does that mean there aren't criminals or cheaters born between July 23 and August 22, or would you say everyone born under the Capricon star is patient?
I think we are what we are and feeding our minds with different lies just because a Zodiac sign says this or that is a terrible mistake. Personally, mixing up who I am with what anyone or study thinks about me is not my thing and I will just love to live life the best way I think it is.
The most annoying part for me is seeing people hiding under the shadows of the Zodiac sign to commit atrocities and they are always like, " I am this and that, my Zodiac sign is the reason why I am what I am"
I might possess some characteristics of an Aries but I am just myself and I do not need a Zodiac sign to tell me who I am, what do, or what to believe.
