Sometimes small setbacks are just blessings in disguise. They enhance your determination and whole-hearted dedication to achieving your goals. - Robert Cheeke
If everything in the world comes easy immediately we lay our hands on them, I wonder how relaxed everyone would be. A lot of us wouldn't have any reason to put effort into anything whatsoever since we are certain of the outcome but life isn't like that. Nothing is certain and we are all just making decisions with the hope of getting the best results.
I am one of the people who love to take challenges and it didn't just start when I became an adult. As a kid, I played football a lot but you will barely see me among my mates because I always felt like doing what would make me improve quickly so I played football with adults. Likewise the board game called Ludo, I played against adults who were experts until I was able to defeat them.
Although I faced lots of defeats and got injured but it helped me improve. Growth in life doesn't come easy and many of the things that would have a good impact on our lives are always tough from the onset.
If it was easy, the majority of us wouldn't be as dedicated as we are on the Hive blockchain or am I wrong?
My early days of crypto blogging weren't cool, I started on Steemit but it didn't take long before the platform stopped functioning properly. I made only sports posts there and barely got tips, many of those we joined together stopped but I was so determined until I noticed people weren't really engaging there anymore.
The guy who introduced me to Steemit told me about another platform known as Uptrennd and I didn't hesitate to join. The platform was sweet and not as challenging as Steemit, I made friends easily and started earning quickly. Things were cool until Uptrennd crashed and everything I earned there amounted to nothing, the coin lost its value and it's just there sitting in my Trust wallet.
I moved on to Readcash and NoiseCash where even less effort would earn you something I am not trying to condemn the platform's easy way of operation. While I was engaging on Readcash, there were Hive members who shared their post links there.
I encountered it from time to time so I eventually thought of joining Hive. Before then, Dreemsteem told me about it but I was reluctant because Readcash was doing just fine. Joining Hive was basically to boost my earnings from crypto blogging but Hive was completely different, the platform required more than I was doing which felt like an inconvenience to me.
Hive required more than I was doing in all the platforms I have engaged on before. I thought I was ready for it but I wasn't because two months after I joined, I took a break. I was away until something funny but embarrassing happened to me on Twitter.
I entered a Hive giveaway on Twitter and copied the Hive address on Trustwallet to claim it. I got lots of laughing emojis as a reply and knew that I had done something wrong, it was funny though but embarrassing. After what happened, I decided to learn about Hive. I didn't see myself doing much on the platform but as I engaged, I fell in love with the structure and people's commitment. In my quest to understand Hive better, I became inconsistent on other platforms and that was all.
I spent quite a lot of time tracking some authors' posts so I could learn one or two things from them, I worked more on my engagement and as time passed, I started seeing the result. There was the need for me to improve the quality of my post which I did after learning from some incredible authors here.
What felt like a problem wasn't a problem and I wasn't just ready to adapt to the need for everything quality on the platform.

Today, I have lots of testimony about how Hive has impacted my life positively. I have always known nothing great comes easy in life and Hive proved it again to me.
Whatever would help us grow a lot in life wouldn't come cheaply, I think life just wants us to know how valuable things are that's why great things aren't cheap. Hive became a blessing I never thought it would be, I am happy to be part of this great community.
