With the way the world is behaving right now it is actually a very good thing that we do have social media, that way you can provide for yourself an imaginary place where all your dreams can come true. I really don't know what is happening but things do seem to be coming to a closing chapter, I don't know if this is just the way things go or if we are being led there.
We have seen for one that the much hyped Democracy is really a very dangerous thing, you actually end up with a tyranny of the winners. Like Brexit, as far as I can tell half wanted it and half didn't, yet a vote was made and the side that got the most votes get to have what they wanted the other half just has to suck it up. I don't think that is good; remember you all are still going to be living in the same place.
Or just think about the 2016 US election, Trump actually lost, Hillary got more votes, so in the US the individual vote doesn't matter it just matters if you are in a swing state, for a country as big and powerful as the US I think this is not the best way forward. But wait who set the rules for this type of elections? Right, the powerful because this way it is easier to gain control legally disregarding what the majority wants, which just renders the word Democracy as crap.
Here we had an election in 2017, the results were going against the incumbent president and the trend was irreversible but the counting was stopped for about two days, when it restarted the incumbent won every single ballot box that was left and won the election. The first country to say this was legitimate was the US, this makes me wonder because the US Justice Department has said that our president is a co-conspirator in drug trafficking and yet he receives all types of aid from the USG, do you notice something strange there? An all out war against drug trafficking by the US but they back someone whom they think is involved in it.
So yes, I agree there is some sort of agenda that is out there, there are people who want to control everything, and nothing can be done against them because they do control nearly everything so we come back to social media a place where you should be able to really say what you want and get a view of what is really happening, but it turns out the elites also rule social media, so there is not much we can do.
We will always have a small group ruling everything and everyone else just going along for the ride just picking up whatever the elites don't want. Makes me think about how Steemit is set up.
