Steem is Steady

Prices in the crypto world are more or less stable, Steem is still down there not moving much, it did scare me for a while when it went below $0.16 but it seems to have steadied I still think it will go down to $0.10 before it goes up in a big way which is what everyone is expecting.

This is really what people want, a boom in Steem's price, many expected HF21 to have an effect but I think that a hard fork has nothing to do with the price either up or down. I read a post today about there being more Steem powered up than powered down, this also is no way to measure because we all know by now that Steem Inc is not powering down this month so as they were the biggest "culprits" to power down it is only logical that the trend would move to more power ups.

Up to now the results of the hard fork have been more negative than positive, everyone is receiving less than before despite the fact that we are being bombarded with the idea that because of downvoting and rewards going back to the reward pool we are earning more, not so everyone earns less except of course a group of people who now populate the trending page with mostly posts about how great Steem is now and who vote each other up. Does this sound familiar?

But that is not really a problem the same thing was happening before a group of people getting most of the rewards so you can take two courses join them and just post positive stuff about how great things are right now and try to get a few consolation votes or try to be objective and post about how things really are. What I mostly do with the Steem blockchain is play KryptoGamers, I post and keep expanding my Tribe holdings slowly but surely, I am playing Splinterlands again just for the fun of it as I sold most of my cards, as for my Steemit posts I get by mostly because I use Busy.org and get their vote, from Actifit I also get a vote plus I lost most of the fat around my belly, I had to bore an extra hole in my belt because it got to big for me, so actually money despite being an objective is not really driving me.

I know @whatsup has the #newsteem campaign which in itself is a good idea and I do think she does have the best interests of Steem at heart, but, there is always a but, maybe it is that I am a negative person but the company I worked for always had these pep rally like meetings, hiring outside motivators to make us have a positive outlook. It never worked, people will always complain, I among them, but mainly it was a "Why spend money on these speakers, when you could use it to raise my wage?" Logical question but Human Resources never answered it, you see people are people they are interested in what is in it for themselves, the good of the community is not a major factor for them.

I am not leaving Steemit I have been here for three years and have found it OK I have never forged alliances or anything I am more of a loner and I don't like to socialize, in real life or online, in fact writing these posts is like letting off steam for me, sometimes somebody gets pissed off and I have an argument via comments but that is about as far as I socialize. I do want Steem to succeed not just for myself for everyone, I believe anyone who posts or invests or creates apps or any other thing has a right to earn some rewards and I do believe some deserve more than others logically, so what I wish happens is that we reach an equilibrium were a majority get at least a part of what they want which in the end is mainly money.
