I have been seeing this actress Emma Granger who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series being accused of anti-semitism for posting something supporting Palestinians. Of course this earned her praise from the Palestinian camps and criticism from some Jewish people.
Now I am no expert on this, and I have nothing against Jews, in fact my grandfather was a Portuguese Jew, but after doing some research I have come up with something I have known all along. Both Jews and Palestinians are Semites so backing one or the other does not make you an anti-semite.
Of course it would make you an anti-Israel policies person, but that is not racist it is just political, in fact I don't agree with a lot of Israeli policies despite the fact that I do admire what they have done in that country. But lately it seems they are turning a little fascist, I think they have to re think some of their policies. Just think about it, they are expanding their country with land that is not theirs. It is hypocritical for the West to denounce Russia and China of land grabbing and saying nothing about Israel.
And I do think the Palestinians deserve their own free, independent, sovereign country to follow the route they decide on. And I think they have as much right as Jews to their own land, they have been in that region just as long as the Jews, in fact probably for a longer time.
