I have to write about luck again it really has me intrigued. As I have told you I like to play video poker. Well lately I have been going to the local casino to play and have not once come out winning which is fair enough no one really should think they will end up winning at a place like this, the odds are completely against it happening. I guess some people do win a big prize and then quit playing forever, these guys are the only ones who can say they won at the casino.
But regardless I did see a few things that struck me as odd these last few days and I really don't know if it is just bad luck, if I am jinxed or if the machines are rigged in a way that the casino knows who to give the prices to and the people who handle it have instructions to not let me win. This last idea would require that all machines be monitored constantly at some center office. This casino has venues in several cities in the country so I guess this would need a lot of monitoring.
On the other hand they could just be giving out prizes randomly to machines they choose which are being played by preferred customers. I really don't know but there is something strange going on. I will give you some examples of what I consider strange.
There is a Filipino couple who lives in town, I actually don't know what they do but they constantly go to the casino and constantly win. The other day I was there and she won aces with a low card which is the highest prize after the royal flush three times, he won it twice and then to finish it off she won the royal flush, are they lucky or is this some kind of conspiracy?
Then this is why I ask if it is bad luck or what the first day I left the machine because I had lost all my money a lady sat down and hit a deuce with a low card a nice 2k Lempira prize the first click after I had left the machine. Then the day after I was going to play in that machine, there was nobody else but when I was a few paces from that machine an older guy came out of nowhere, sat down and won the aces with a low card again on the first click.
And then today tops it all, I played a machine for about three hours and then I was flat broke so I got up went to the bathroom, as I came out I noticed a lady sit at the machine I was playing put some money in and as she gave the first click a light came on and a flat screen tv said that the machine, which by the way was # 14 had won the mystery prize. The prize was about 8k Lempiras which would have been very useful to me, but apparently something is wrong with me.
I really don't know what is wrong here could be luck or whatever but I do think this time I am cured I am not going back to that place it is just a waste, I never win and then when things like what I wrote above happen I feel bad, so instead of having fun I actually leave that place feeling kind of depressed. I know this is not of interest to anyone but I did want to get this out of me.
Then again does anyone know if these casinos actually give out the prizes to whom they want or is it just a random program?
