Si algo debe saber un emprendedor es comunicar, y hacerlo eficazmente. No basta comunicar bien, hay que hacerlo mejor cada día.
En un post pasado hablé sobre la importancia de aumentar nuestro vocabulario y de algunos de los hábitos que me ayudan a lograrlo. Puedes leer esa publicación dando. click aquí.
En esta oportunidad, quiero dejarte unos pasos para que sigas aumentando tu vocabulario. Desglosaremos la expresión "Comunica Mejor", que es uno de los temas recurrente en mi contenido escrito y audiovisual.
"Comunica mejor". Cuando leemos estas palabras, ¿qué nos viene a la mente? ¿Qué quiere decir? ¿Qué hay detrás de esa expresión? Acompáñame a desnudarla un poco.
Debo confesar que este somero análisis etimológico que haremos de esta expresión es la excusa perfecta que tuve para describirte mi filosofía, metodología y objetivos que he establecido con “Comunica Mejor”, mi Programa de Formación Integral en Comunicación.
🗣 1.- Definir
Lo primero que vamos a definir es COMUNICAR. Para ello usamos un diccionario o internet para buscar su definición.
Nos encontramos con que comunicar proviene del verbo latino communicare que significa poner en común, compartir o intercambiar. A la vez, communicare proviene de communis que se refiere a lo común, a lo que es público. En conclusión, comunicar es poner nuestras ideas, emociones, opiniones, pensamientos a la disposición de otros; hacerlos público.
Podríamos investigar más términos, por ejemplo: comunicación, comunica, comunicativo, comunicado. Pero esto te lo dejo de ejercicio.
🗣 2.- Sinónimos
Lo segundo que haremos es buscar sinónimos de la palabra que estamos investigando. Seguimos con COMUNICAR.
-Informar
-Anunciar
-Participar
-Manifestar
-Notificar
-Revelar
-Transmitir
-Propagar
-Difundir
-Tratarse
-Conversar
-Relacionarse
-Alternar
Ya con eso tenemos un significado más amplio y cuando nos toque escribir sobre la importancia de comunicar, tendremos esos términos en nuestro cerebro para usarlos según nos convenga.
🗣 Definiendo MEJOR
Vamos ahora con la palabra MEJOR. Mismo procedimiento, vamos al diccionario o a internet.
Nos encontramos con que mejor significa: más bueno, más conveniente o preferible.
Es decir, si algo es bueno, hazlo más bueno. Si escribiste bien una línea, ahora busca la forma de hacerlo superior. Si un verbo transmite lo que deseas, úsalo, pero si existe otro que comunique mejor, elige ese. Todo texto es susceptible de mejora. Todo escrito puede reescribirse y perfeccionarse. Esto que estás leyendo pasó por varias correcciones, pero estoy convencido que pude mejorarlo aún más.
Pero hay que tener cuidado con esto último, porque si seguimos revisando, analizando, corrigiendo, puliendo y demás, nunca publicaremos ese libro, ese artículo en nuestro blog, jamás le responderemos a un cliente o enviaremos una carta de ventas, o no terminaremos de publicar un "copy" para nuestra página web, el video para nuestro canal o hasta un comentario que queramos dejarle a alguien en redes sociales. Podemos mejorar, pero también hay que soltar y dejar ir, no lo guardemos.
🗣 3.- Conjugar
El último paso para mejorar nuestro vocabulario, es buscar la conjugación de los verbos que usemos. Esto es muy útil para ser exactos en lo que deseamos expresar. También enriquece nuestras ideas y nos sirve para ilustrar mejor algo que deseemos recalcar.
🔶 Resumiendo:
3 pasos para aumentar tu vocabulario.
🗣 1.Usa un diccionario para conocer la definición de una palabra. Esto nos permite ser más conscientes del significado real de esta y si coincide con la que deseamos expresar en nuestro texto.
🗣 2.Busca sinónimos y antónimos de esa palabra. Mientras más alternativas tengamos, mejor preparados para variar y evitar sonar repetitivos. También te recomiendo buscar las definiciones de esos sinónimos, de esta manera estarás más seguro de que estás diciendo lo que realmente quieres decir.
🗣 3.Algo muy útil, aunque no obligatorio, es buscar algunas conjugaciones de los verbos que usemos.
Por ejemplo, el verbo "comunicar", conjugándolo en segunda persona del singular, en modo imperativo afirmativo y agregándole el adjetivo “mejor” queda así: “Comunica mejor”.
📝 Te dejo un ejercicio que puedes hacer y dejar el resultado en los comentarios. Si te animas es el siguiente:
-Elige 5 palabras que tengan que ver con emprendimiento y ventas. Te dejo una: copywriting. Solo faltan cuatro (4). Busca la definición de cada una, luego consulta sus sinónimos y antónimos. Si es un verbo, repasa su conjugación. Recuerda dejarlo en un comentario. (No es necesario las 5 palabras, con una es suficiente).

Let's go now to the word BETTER. Same procedure, we go to the dictionary or the internet.
We find that better means: **better, more convenient, or preferable.
That is, if something is good, make it better. If you wrote a line well, now find a way to make it superior. If a verb conveys what you want, use it, but if there is another verb that communicates better, choose that one. Every piece of writing can be improved.
