Hola a todos mis queridos Hivers, espero que su día vaya bien dentro de las circunstancias. En esta publicación quiero compartir con ustedes una agradable salida que nos dimos el día sábado a una piscina cerca de donde vivimos, que por cierto yo no sabía de su existencia.

Hello to all my dear Hivers, I hope your day is going well under the circumstances. In this post I want to share with you a nice outing we had on Saturday to a pool near where we live, which by the way I did not know of its existence.

Por aquí en nuestra Venezuela el calor ha estado insoportable, no tengo muchos detalles de la información pero al parecer será hasta junio, eso me preocupa un poco, por muchas cosas de las cuales estaré hablando en otras publicaciones. Lo cierto del caso es que a mi hija Jeraldine le extendieron una invitación con bastante tiempo de anticipación ya que tenían determinado el número de personas, el costo por cada una y algunas reglas que se establecieron con el fin de minimizar sucesos inesperados.

Here in our Venezuela the heat has been unbearable, I do not have many details of the information but apparently it will be until June, that worries me a little, for many things of which I will be talking about in other publications. The truth of the matter is that my daughter Jeraldine was extended an invitation well in advance since they had determined the number of people, the cost for each one and some rules that were established in order to minimize unexpected events.

Ella nos comunica a su papá y a mí y nos pareció una buena oportunidad para cambiar de ambiente, conocer a otras personas y sobre todo nos entusiasmaba mucho que nuestra hija se divirtiera con personas de su edad, de manera sana y supervisada.

She informed her father and me and we thought it was a good opportunity to change the environment, meet other people and above all we were very excited that our daughter would have fun with people her age, in a healthy and supervised way.

Ella hizo invitación a otros jóvenes que conocemos y la mayoría aceptó acompañarnos. Nos pusimos de acuerdo para recogerlos por un sitio y llegar juntos al lugar, así sucedió. Como costumbre de familia llegamos temprano al lugar, ya habían algunas personas, unas organizando, dando la bienvenida y otras aprovechando bañarse en la piscina.

She invited other young people we know and most of them agreed to join us. We agreed to pick them up at a place and arrive at the place together, and so it happened. As a family custom we arrived early to the place, there were already some people, some organizing, welcoming and others taking advantage of bathing in the pool.

Yo tenía claro que por mi caída que estaba muy reciente no me bañaría, cosa que lamenté, porque todos parecían felices en el agua. A mi esposo le llevé su vestuario por si se entusiasmaba pero prefirió quedarse a jugar unos juegos de mesa conmigo.

It was clear to me that because of my recent fall I would not swim, which I regretted, because everyone seemed happy in the water. I brought my husband his costume in case he got excited, but he preferred to stay and play some board games with me.

Llevamos una mesa, un Jenga y unas cartas, la verdad después de tomar algunas fotos me senté a disfrutar del paisaje, de la música y de ver a unas parejas de jóvenes bailar desde principio a fin, eso me hizo recordar mis tiempos de adolescente, donde me gustaba más bailar que comer.

We brought a table, a Jenga and some cards, the truth after taking some pictures I sat down to enjoy the scenery, the music and to see some young couples dancing from beginning to end, that made me remember my teenage days, where I liked dancing more than eating.

Todo estaba prestó para pasarla bien, como dice mi hija "esté día me lo voy a tomar para ser feliz", la verdad le hacía falta los estudios de la universidad la han tenido muy ocupada y estresada. Aunque se presentaron uno que otro inconveniente que escaparon de su control, ella supo manejar bien las cosas y divertirse en compañías de otros jóvenes que le permitieron sentirse incluida y fueron parte de ese día diferente.

Everything was ready to have a good time, as my daughter says "I am going to take this day to be happy", the truth is that she needed it, her university studies have kept her very busy and stressed. Although there were some inconveniences that were beyond her control, she knew how to handle things well and have fun in the company of other young people who allowed her to feel included and were part of that different day.

Nosotros aunque no nos bañamos la pasamos muy bien, le enseñamos a unos amigos a jugar Jenga y cartas y la verdad fue emocionante verlos aprender tan rápido y luego tener que ver sus destrezas al extremo de superarnos en muchas ocasiones como maestros.

Although we didn't take a bath we had a great time, we taught some friends how to play Jenga and cards and it was exciting to see them learn so quickly and then have to watch their skills to the point of surpassing us as teachers on many occasions.

Llevamos algunos sandwich para comer, mucha agua, la mayoría llevó su almuerzo y en el lugar había disponible refrescos, galletas, torta de chocolates y algunos otros pasapalos que se compartieron entre todo el grupo.

We brought some sandwiches to eat, lots of water, most of them brought their lunch and there were soft drinks, cookies, chocolate cake and some other snacks that were shared among the whole group.

Así que puedo decirles que ese sábado fue muy significativo para muchos, pues su felicidad era contagiosa. En el caso de los jóvenes quienes se ven sometidos a muchas presiones, algunos en sus liceos, otros en la universidad, en el trabajo o en su entorno, no llegan a tener este tipo de actividades que se hacen liberadoras y les permiten poder olvidarse por momentos de todo con lo que tienen que lidiar a diario.

So I can tell you that Saturday was very meaningful for many, because their happiness was contagious. In the case of young people who are subjected to many pressures, some in their high schools, others in college, at work or in their environment, do not get to have this kind of activities that become liberating and allow them to forget for a moment of everything they have to deal with daily.

Como madre pude reflexionar que debemos ser más relajados en el sentido de tomarnos la tarea de equilibrar nuestro tiempo y actividades, no todo puede ser trabajo, estudio y preocupación, debemos estar dispuestos a dejar tiempo para la diversión, principalmente para nuestros hijos y construir en unión de otras agradables personas, momentos inolvidables.

As a mother I could reflect that we should be more relaxed in the sense of taking the task of balancing our time and activities, not everything can be work, study and worry, we must be willing to leave time for fun, especially for our children and build together with other nice people, unforgettable moments.
