Week 23: Gardens in Art

Welcome to Week 23 of the Hive Garden Question!

Last week's question was about what three plants you'd take onto a desert island, provided you've already got protein. Corn, coconut, avocado, sweet potato - @markone85, @faunobrujo and @waralwa all made me hungry as I read about delicious foods to grow on desert islands!

All three win a beneficiary - that's the bonus of hardly anyone responding, you all get a prize! Please join in and encourage others to do so - it's a really lovely challenge that connects the garden community in creative and interesting ways.

This Week's Question/s

This week we're getting arty for something completely different! Think Vincent Van Gogh's famous Irises painting, or perhaps a painting in a garden setting from your own culture or history. What do you love about it? What feeling does it evoke? Does it inspire your own garden design, or would you love to have elements of it in your own garden? You can even write a story or a poem based on your chosen garden art. You might even choose to merely analyse it from a gardener's viewpoint. A good starting point, if you aren't sure, is 'famous paintings in gardens' or 'indian paintings set in gardens'. Enjoy this art related garden challenge!
