With your host - me, @riverflows - about to go on a big adventure, I am afraid I can't run the #gardenjournal challenge in the same way I've been doing for the last few years. It's going to be tricky to do on the road.

BUT there's noooo way we can NOT have the #gardenjournal on HIVE, amirite? I mean, I bet you guys, like me, look forward to the first week of the month to share your gardens!

Thus, I've put a scheduled reminder post for all of you to write the #gardenjournal challenge on the 1st of each month for the foreseeable future. @owasco and @minismallholding will be on hand to do the wrap up posts or if I'm in one spot with wifi access and a laptop, I'll be chipping in as well. If this is the case, I'll still be awarding prizes! However, we just can't make promises month to month with this. We hope writing the post and getting some great upvotes and engagement from Hive Gardeners will be enough incentive for you.

Don't worry, prizes remain as they are for the February challenge!

The Challenge

Write a #gardenjournal post! This could be:

• Detailing what's happening in your garden, from successes to failures
• Writing about a friend's garden
• Writing about a visit to a botanical garden or nursery
• Writing about your favourite plant

The Guidelines

• You MUST put a link to your post below or I won't include it.
• Please do NOT share ten photos of the SAME plant! Be selective.
• 300 words minimum - this is not a photo challenge.
• Comment on other posts in the community
• Use #gardenjournal as your first tag and post in the community.

The Prizes

We do try not to award the same people each week but sometimes this can't be helped! Remember this cannot be guaranteed each week as I may not have internet access, time, or headspace to award prizes on the road.
