Reading garden posts and speaking to friends on line, the northern hemisphere is experiencing heat whilst the cold winds whip the south coast of Australia. Either way, there's much to do in our gardens.

This is the time of the month where we get a little glimpses into the gardens of the globe - from Spain to the Netherlands, the UK to the Phillipines, from Oregon to California to Tennessee. It's definitely one of our favourite challenges on HIVE and it's fantastic to see people get some great rewards on their posts, fantastic engagement and a little Hive Garden community loving.

We can't wait to see your gardens in the month of August! And don't forget the weekly theme comes out on Saturdays, giving you more writing inspiration for the week.

The Challenge

Write a #gardenjournal post! This could be:

• Detailing what's happening in your garden, from successes to failures
• Writing about a friend's garden
• Writing about a visit to a botanical garden or nursery
• Writing about your favourite plant
• Garden produce recipes
• Prepping posts about growing and preserving your own food

The Guidelines

• Please do NOT share ten photos of the SAME plant! Be selective.
• 300 words minimum - this is not a photo challenge.
• Comment on other posts in the community
• Use #gardenjournal as your first tag and post in the community.
• No AI generated posts please - you will be immediately muted
• If your post is prepping related, use the tag #GARDENPREPPER as well.

Your enthusiasm shines through the content you create and your engagement with community and will be rewarded with upvotes and reblogs, and hopefully lots of engagement from fellow gardeners and Hive folk!

Let's see fab formatting, beautiful photos, and thoughtful post - the kind of post that makes us want to go and tidy our garden!
