Some say the weekend's on hive can be a little quiet...Hmm, I guess people are out there doing other things with their weekends but for me, I see it as a good chance to spend a little more solid time here rather than the snippets I spend during the week. Also, if there is less activity on the weekends I see that as a chance for me to possibly catch the eye of a user who might not have come across me before...I am, after all, still a small account looking to build. After three years that ethos hasn't changed. src
Nine weeks ago I started a little concept where I'd release a topic on Friday and give the hive community, that's you, all weekend to drop a comment on that post and in response to the topic. I called it the #weekend-engagement topic.
A few have come on board left comments and many have won some prizes. This week will make almost 700 hive in prizes sent directly to people's wallets and something like 2500 comments put on the blockchain.
So, for me weekends aren't really slower as I spend a lot of time commenting to people that enter the competition and engaging in the banter that often ensues.
This week the topic is about animals...We're sort of creating a hive zoo I guess you could say. If you want to join in simply head over to the weekend-engagement post on my blog, or follow that link back there.
The prize pool this week is 90 hive!
There's nothing hard about it, no reblogs to do...Just answer the question in the comments on that post and you're in the running to win some hive.
As I said above, I think weekends can be a, good time to throw a few great posts up on the blockchain and to engage with some people in the community. That's what my weekend-engagement thing is all about - Giving people a reason to interact and build relationships. Doing that is the fastest way to build one's own account.
I hope y'all are having a great weekend. Stay safe and enjoy!
