Hello Weekend Experiences community! I discovered this community just recently and I was impressed by some of the articles in here. This is why I wanted to join the party and what a way to start off then to talk about two very hard questions: Have you ever wanted someone so much you'd have done anything for them? And Would you ever cause physical harm to someone to protect your family? I will try to answer both of these questions out of my perspective and hopefully give an overview into my head by answering them!
Have you ever wanted someone so much you'd have done anything for them?
In order to answer the first question, I would like to give a little bit of context into my thinking here. In my case I will talk about my wife that I am loving over everything. With that being said, many people would argue that this question would address a person that is not already in my life, but I would like to disagree. I want this person everytime and everyday! Well, now with the context out of the way, let鈥檚 talk about the actual experience that managed to get.
Let鈥檚 jump back 2 years. It was the time of uncertainty and the pandemic has brought our world to a hold-still. Almost all boarders were closed and many countries even stopped the air traffic. Well, my special situation in this case was as follows: My wife was living in the US and I was staying in Germany. Because I do not have the US citizenship, I was not able to just travel to the US without problems. Well, I did not spare any money and time to figure out how to get to my wife. So what did I do?
I basically had to find a loophole in the regulations and had to stay for around 2 weeks in Mexico, on my own, without knowing the language at all. It was not as scary as it sounds like, but these times were not easy to be honest. I had to stay for over 24 hours at an layover airport and to then arrive in my final destination. After the two weeks were over, I was more than happy to finally enter the US. With a delay of 10 hours I was finally able to hold my wife in my arms again. Now, this is only one example but I would definitely do anything to be with her if we ever get separated again!
Would you ever cause physical harm to someone to protect your family?
This brings us to the next question in this article. Would I cause any physical harm to someone to protect my family? In general, I am somebody who would turn away from violence any time of the day, on any day of the year! The problem is that other people are not doing it. See, if everyone would have the same understanding of violence, there would be less to none conflicts and wars in the world. The problem is, this is not the case! Everyone has his own brain and everyone has different experiences, values and was raised different.
With that being said, if there would be a situation where my family would be in danger, I would not hesitate to use violence to protect my family. In the end, I would not care about another human being that I just met and probably will never see again, that is on top trying to harm my family. If there is the scenario that this person is innocent, it would be a much harder decision. But I am keeping my initial reaction. In my eyes the family is the most important thing in my life and I would do literally anything to protect them.
Conclusion
I am pretty sure that other people would have different opinions on these questions. Some people with another value system in their mind will probably answer these questions completely different to me but this exactly what it is all about: Understanding each other trying to work things out verbally. Well, I would like to know your opinion on these questions! Would you act the same way or do you have completely different believes? Let me know! 馃槉
