Hello Everyone,

Today was a very productive and exciting day in the flowering tent!

Currently I have three big cannabis plants in seven gallon fabric pots that are 33 days into flowering.

Two of them are Big Mac Superstar clones and are the plants supported by ropes.

The lone plant from seed is a cross between Big Mac Superstar and Miracle Mack. It's not a stabalized strain but it carries forth desirable traits from both of the plant genetics.

I smoked some dried buds from the smaller clones from this plant today. My analysis on the smoke is pretty straight forward. The taste is great and the effects are strong but I think it could have benefitted from at least one or two more weeks of flowering.

I was in a hurry to set my focus primarily on the bigger plants and harvested a little early.
This is ok though because it gave me some valuable insight.
I flowered the clones for 50 days and believe they should have gone at least 60 days.
The difference ten more days would have made likely would have been substantial with the effects of the bud.

The effects I would describe as "racey."
I felt stoned, the cannabis felt "zoney" but like it was missing something.
I also didn't cure the bud, but with a 2.2 gram final weight, I'm not going to lost any sleep over two joints of uncured cannabis.

This gives me all the insight I need for the flowering plants.

They will likely get 60 days minimum flowering time, all three of them since they are closely related Sativa dominant strains.

I sat down with my notebook today and worked out all the math.

The 1st of next month is week 6, 42 days in flowering, and should be when I stop feeding, which gives 18 days flush time.

With how big these buds are getting, it's mind blowing to think I'm only about halfway through flowering.

This is why it's a good idea to keep a notebook with handwritten notes.

It's easy to lose track of dates and things quickly become a guessing game.

It takes time and effort to grow cannabis, so tracking grow times is important.

This is something I neglected doing for years, because of a lack of organizational skills, and mostly overlooking the importance of note taking with growing plants.

It would be my first recommendation to anyone growing cannabis now that I've learned the importance.
Definitely log critical dates of importance and maintain awareness of your plants age from week to week.

Despite taking two hundred and fifty macro photographs today, none of them were acceptable due to exposure issues, so for this post we're just taking a look at the plants from a distance. The trichomes are still early stage and not as photogenic as they will be in another couple of weeks.

That will do it for this cannabis update.

What do you all think of how these cannabis plants are looking?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a great day! -futuremind@futuremind
