Garden Update - Day 35

Hello Everyone,

Today I added some supplemental lights to the grow tent.

The reason I added these lights is so that I can utilize the full capacity of the tent, while ensuring adequate spacing for the plants.

Let's have a look.

We're looking at about 800 watts of LED (light emitting diode) light panels. The main overhead is a 600 watt Kingbrite panel, and the panels I added today are 100 watt Phlizon panels.

I've utilized this setup before in the past with great results.

This tent has the capacity to hold two of these 600 watt panels, and perhaps one day I will upgrade, but for now this is what I'm working with and it is plenty ample for producing fat dense buds as long as I ensure proper light intensity, which is usually just a matter of checking spacing and utilizing the light sensor on my phone for an intensity measure.

The unit of measure that I use is LUX, and currently I have a pretty consistent 20k LUX across the canopy, which is pretty perfect for this stage of growth.

Later on when the plants are flowering I will be aiming for around 50-70k LUX.

As the plants grow upward toward the light the intensity will increase for what they are absorbing, and I should not go above 30-35k LUX during vegetation stage.

I have about 12 inches of spacing between the plants, with a total of three cannabis plants.

Three plants in seven gallon fabric containers evenly spaced is quite optimal for this tent. More plants creates spacing issues, and later on these plants will be double scrog (screen of green) netted.

I'm feeling confident that I have this grow dialed in pretty well with the equipment I'm using.

The biggest hurdle that I see in the future will be heat management during flowering. I will probably run my lights during the night hours to combat this foreseeable issue.

This grow operation would benefit from some inline ventilation, but currently I'm don't have a ventilation system.
