Although flowers are my usual subjects whenever I go out for photography, there are times when I find myself interested in things that most people would consider unwanted. These are the weeds, damaged leaves, and plants that people would rather uproot and throw into the rubbish.
For today's photography blog, I decided to feature these unwanted subjects and showcase the beauty that I found in them.
While walking around the garden, I noticed some leaves that had been damaged, probably by insects or simply through the natural process of aging. What caught my attention was their interesting shapes and textures. The holes and imperfections actually made them more appealing to me as photography subjects.
I also found a small shell lying among the dried leaves and twigs. It seemed to have found its final resting place, where it would eventually become part of the soil through the natural process of decay. It's fascinating how nature has its own way of recycling everything.
Of course, I captured these subjects in black and white because I wanted to emphasize their textures, patterns, and contrast. Without the distraction of colors, even the simplest objects can become interesting photographs.
I guess this is one of the reasons why I enjoy photography so much. It allows me to appreciate things that I would normally overlook.
It also reminds me of an important lesson in life. We shouldn't be too quick to judge something based on its appearance or usefulness. Even things that seem unwanted have their own purpose and beauty.
Sometimes, all we need is a different perspective to recognize their value.
I'm glad I took the time to capture these little details during my walk, and I hope you'll appreciate them as much as I do.
Have a good day ahead!
