Today, we have a mini success that we want to celebrate; we accomplished a tall order yesterday.
I was unable to post my Ulog yesterday as we were busy working on two large cream puff cakes. It is something that we did a few months ago which we gave as a gift to the christening of my girlfriend's niece. We posted it on our social media. And it looks like a customer saw it from there who ask if we can also make one with a "Dino-inspired" theme. We gladly took the challenge and we were able to deliver it.
A few weeks later another customer sends us a message asking if we can also make one for her daughter. She was thinking of a "Paw Patrol inspired" cake but then she changed it to a "Dino-inspired" cake as well. The deadline was set yesterday and so we agreed on it.
A few days later, another customer ordered a cake for her daughter and set the deadline as the first order we got.
So yesterday, which is supposed to be a relaxed weekend for us turned to be one of the busiest days in the shop.
It turned out that while we were busy working on two cakes, we are also receiving orders for the regular pastries that we offer and requested them to be delivered on the same day. And the thing about our products is that we are making it upon order and we have committed a fresh product to be delivered on the same day or depending on the request of the customers.
I think we made it too difficult for ourselves however we are passionate enough to take on a challenge. After 36 hours of continuous work at the shop, we finally completed and delivered all orders successfully.
It's something that we never do on a regular basis but we are bold enough to challenge ourselves and do something beyond our comfort zone.
