One man and three other start-up actors were deciding what to perform for a live audience at a small theatre one day. This one particular man liked the one other actress and to impress her came up with an idea for a play.
He started describing the play to her but before he could finish his idea she misinterpreted it and thought it was another idea that she did not like. The two other actors also did not like his misunderstood idea and left.
The actor then got to retell his act to the actress and she decided to trust him and listen.
His idea was to create a new device in a car which will work when when that person is stuck in traffic. That person can then play a game on a smart phone or tablet while waiting in traffic. When the traffic starts moving the device will tell the driver to drive and when the traffic stops again the driver can replay his game until the device retells him to drive. And so on.
The actor will act as the driver and the actress will sit at the back of the car wearing a box on her head with a whole in it to look through at moving traffic. She will act as the device.
Now the story goes on where the driver stopped in traffic, got out his game while traffic stood still. The device was not being used and so, like most devices, automatically went into sleep mode.
Much later after the driver had won his game he realised that the traffic had moved and he was alone on the street. He then checked his device and noticed she was in sleep mode.
Lessons to be learned?
Don’t let others control and manipulate you?
Is it the idea of a new invention that lets you down and causes you to fall behind?
Don’t put your trust in new ideals that mislead you, rather choose firm, strong foundations to keep you on top and ahead?
Listen before you make decisions?
Can you think of any more?
