I happened to watch an advertisement by a shopping app called shopee.
They got Cristiano Ronaldo to promote the app with a funny advertisement.

The truth is how effective would this advertisement be?
It looked kind of silly but perhaps there are crazy fans out there that would support him regardless of what is being promoted.
My personal thought is a sports star like Cristiano Ronaldo would be more effective if he promoted sports related products.
Promoting a shopping app looked like those ‘Just For Laugh’ videoclip.
I probably would not change my lifestyle because of some stars unless the item or app being promoted is really useful to me.
