Hi Hivers. How are you?

Have you ever had some good Jamaican soup?
I’m not sure of the reason, but growing up, it was quite common for us Jamaicans to have soup for dinner on Saturdays. It could have been pumpkin soup, chicken, chicken foot or red peas soup. Whatever the option, it would be loaded with vegetables, ground provision and boiled dumplings. It would either keep you warm or make you sweat but was always satisfying.

Like in the video above , I always loved to hear “ di pot a bubble”. The sound and smell of soup getting ready to be served.
Would you like a cup of soup? 😃
