The slap did indeed bring Andromeda back to her senses, the sting almost reminding her of her foster father's slap earlier that morning. "Ow.." She whispered, then gasped and became pale again as she realized that that maniac had hold of her by the arm and was very close, way too close for comfort, as she leaned back slightly to compensate as he leaned in. She looked down at the dead gang members that now lay at their feet as they stood by the car. It was all she could do to muster a very slow nod in response, terrified he could just end her like he had the others, but in light of he voicing his plans for the night, she wondered momentarily of death would actually be the better option, rather than be dragged along with whatever his scheme was.
Not entirely sure, but praying she was right, she reached for the handle on the car door, never taking her eyes off him, it was like she was trapped in his wild gaze. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she quietly got in the back seat, and promptly closed the door, sitting still and straight in the seat, staring ahead with her hands folded in her lap. She was already pale, and the scenarios running through her head were not helping as she suddenly wondered if he even know how to drive...? Then decided that it didn't matter, she would likely be dead by morning, and the way things were looking, maybe the sooner the better.
She thought back to, she wasn't sure how long ago, there were blank spots, and then the long sit in the dark, but her foster parents and the house she'd lived in for four years. She almost would prefer to be going home to a beating for not going to school, than sitting in the back seat of that car, a madman right outside, dead bodies all around the car, and she was right in the midst of it all. If the police caught them, they would stand about as much chance against that green haired psycho as the gang members that now littered the street with their blood.
Oh god, the blood. She felt her stomach churn again as the smell decided to revisit her nostrils, and probably much to his great amusement, she heaved, but nothing came up. Her stomach growled after that. She realized that she'd not eaten in a couple of days. She'd brought home a B on her semester report, and that was the punishment. No food till the grade came back up to an A.
And the retching hurt, her stomach tied up in knots as she coughed. She just wanted to cry, but it wasn't happening. She was all cried out for now, so she stared blankly at the back of the passenger seat as she waited for him to get in, and quite possibly drive them to their deaths.
Losing control.
Once again, his tongue lashed out across his lips. Successfully wetting the fleshy slabs that remained there. Taking a deep breath, he let out all the oxygen in his lungs. Watching her as she silently got into the back seat of the car. He honestly didn't like her getting in the back seat but thought about it for a second and just gave a smug shrug of his shoulder and reached forward as he tip toed over the dead bodies. Looking down at them, he spoke in a whisper taunting the poor bodies that lay there colder than an icicle while their soul's were being escorted to the after world. "...Sorry!" But it was clear that this was meant solely as an insult.
Grabbing the handle of the car door, he got in. Sitting in the drivers seat he felt like his knees were in his chest. The driver was short as a midget. "Holy moly, this guy musta been a midget.." Reaching down beneath of the seat he grabbed the handle and pulled it to the side. Letting the seat fly backward toward her, he reached forward and found that these guys were so incredibly stupid that they had left the car key's in the ignition. Twisting the key, he heard the spark plugs spit fire within the main cylinders on the engine and the fuel ignited and began the combustible reaction. Looking in the rear view he saw her heaving. "When was the last time you ate?" He tilted his head once again, and thought about it. It had been so long since he had eaten anything other than raw rat.
Dropping the clutch he put the car in gear and the tires spun like crazy. Pressing the pedal through the floor board, (So to speak)The world would start to pass by, and the clown wasn't paying attention to the girl in the back seat no more. He hadn't driven in so long and he didn't even care if she could just grab the seat belt and wrap it around his neck and start pulling on it, effectively trying to choke the life out of him. Was he insane? Or did he just have a death wish? It didn't matter, because by now he was doing ninety miles an hour and the turn that was coming up had a caution sign that warned to slow down to thirty miles an hour. Grinning savagely, he didn't even slow the car down any at all. Twisting the wheel, he pulled the e-brake. The car started spinning out of control, doing three sixties the car hit the curb and went flipping through the air. Three barrel rolls and shattered glass and mangled steel, the car blasted through the building. Landing on its wheels amazingly, the front fender dented in and the drivers side of the car looked like it had been maimed. He didn't let go of the gas, the pedal still pressed firmly to the floor board. The jeep began busting through the building, which just happened to be an apartment complex.
Blasting through peoples homes, he just honked the horn. Blood spewing from his forehead where his head banged off the steering wheel. He didn't even look in the rear view mirror as they were drove through the building. Kids and mothers diving out of the way, fathers drinking their beers watching porn in the bed room screaming for the family to keep it down in there. On the other side of the complex kids were playing in the playground when the building exploded outward. The jeep was air born and the kids were all pointing at it. In the drivers seat he just looked out the window and waved at the kids as the jeep flew past and bounced as the tires hit the pavement and the shocks absorbed the impact and launched it back into the air. Where it would weeble waddle and roll only on two wheels before it landed and spun in a one eighty. Slamming on the brakes, the car would screech to a halt and he twisted around in the drivers seat and stared at her. Grinning ear to ear, the exhilaration on his face couldn't be faked. The adrenaline was spiking through the ceiling. "Come on!!!!" He yelled, looking her in the eyes. He brought his right hand up and pointed his thumb out his window. They were parked in the center of the street and cars were honking their horns. The drivers were screaming at him to get his piece of shit car out of the road and he just locked eyes with this fright frozen girl. "We are officially at our next destination butterfly!"
He looked out the window and stared in awe. "We are going to 'score' us some clothes and other necessities..." His lips were pealed backward so harshly. Your mother ever told you if you held your face like that for too long it would get stuck that way? Haha, this was a prime example of that. He kicked open the door, and he got out of it, stumbling a little and turning and finally getting to her door. He rose his right hand up to his head, wiping the blood and hair out of his face. He yanked the door open and held his hand out to her. "Well, the store isn't gonna rob itself! Get out of their girl, I know you ain't that hurt from a little fender bender!" About that time he reached in and didn't give her a choice, he wasn't sure if she was even still alive, but to his eyes. She was still that golden winged girl he saw from inside the cage. Grabbing her wrist viciously he turned and started stomping toward the store. Feet crunching on broken glass, but he was so lost in his mission it was as if the pain had went into remission. Blood smeared the pavement behind each step he took, but it didn't phase him at all as he stared up at the neon sign above the store. Elephant pharmaceuticals and conveniences. The sign would read. "Can you believe that? Who in their right mind would name their store after a fat animal that's afraid of miceses.?" He asked her, as they would reach the door.
"Hey fans..." He laughed, "Come back in the morning to read more!" Did he just address the reader? Or was he just some freak of nature who didn't know what the hell he was doing? The laughter began to race from his lungs sounding like a raspy chainsaw that was puttering out, he reached forward and grabbed the handle of the door and yanked. But it stayed shut. The grin vanished and flipped upside down, looking at her this would be the first time she had ever witnessed a frown on his lips. Frustration clearly building on his face, he rose his free hand and waved it in front of his face a couple of times before holding one finger up. "Hey...Hang on right here? Yeah? Just wait here, I gotta go get my tool..." He let go of her hand and stomped off. But before she could even notice he came running as fast as he could and dived straight through the glass. Head first, it shattered and he landed on his ass, sliding through the broken glass. Looking up at her as he spun in circles and slid into a shelving unit that had a bunch of dresses on it. "Hahahaha, Come on in butterfly...Don't let the alarms scare you!" The alarms were loud as hell, but sounded like they were just announcing the entrance of a king, a king of crime and doing time.
