Hello, fellow "Winers!"

On this issue of "Let's Wine About It" I'm am bringing a totally different sensation in comparison to Issue #1.
Red "Marquês de Marialva - Selected Harvest from 2018", is a Bairrada Region wine - which for me is usually a favorite.

Once again this wine is made with more than one grape variety:

  • "Baga";
  • "Tinta Roriz";
  • "Touriga Nacional";

You will eventually understand that according to the region there is a bigger probability to have a certain type of grape.
Like a stamp grape from that region.

Being from 2018 it had already aged enough, but it aged for at least six months on french oak and a minimum of two months in bottle.

Appreciation:

  • To the eye is very clear and the red is pretty intense;
  • On the mouth is very structured but also very smooth and fruity with a lingering delicate aftertaste;
  • On the nose you can easily catch a lot of red berries (which makes sense since "Baga" the grape's name means "Berry"), almost like jelly and some amber notes;

The alcohol level is lower than the other by 1% with a total of 13%.

Perfect for some bread and cheese plate!

Cheers!
