The brewery

Uzzewuzze is a small so-called village brewery from Roelofarendsveen, The Netherlands.
It's quite a young brewery. After years of brewing for a hobby the five brewers started making their beers in 2019 on a more professional level.
Apart from the Fietsie IPA they also have Witbier, Triple, Bock, Blond, Imperial Stout and Double.
All the beers have names that are nicknames of people from the village Roelofarendsveen.

The review

Fietsie is an IPA with an alcholpercentage of 6,4%.
The word fietsie can be translated to bikecycle and was actually the nickname of the grandfather of one of the brewers because he was the first one in the village with a bike.

The beer has an orange/gold colour and when pouring it into the glass it forms a nice layer of foam with relatively large bubbles.
The beer does have some yeast in the bottle as well, so you do have to wiggle the bottle when you empty it and leave the beer for a few minutes before drinking.

The smell of the beer is, as I'm used to with IPA's, a bit hoppy.
The beer tastes fruity and even a bit tropical with a nice hoppy bitterness in the end.
They have used three different hops for this beer.
It's nicely carbonated as well.

I really liked this beer. I am a fan of IPA's though. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 rating.

I've collected most of the bottle caps of the beers I've had in a picture frame.
I have more than 200 already and the frane is almost filled!
