We're slowly moving towards the longest day of the year here in Western Europe.
This week the sun sets at 10PM. Too bad this will only last until the 21st of June, which is the longest day. After that the days will slowly get shorter again.
But for now we need to enjoy the light...
Yesterday I had to pick up my bikecycle that was parked at the train station. It was past 9 PM, but still light enough, so I decided to walk the 3 kilometer to the train station.
I actually made made the trip a bit longer so I could walk through some parks instead if through the streets.
And that was no bad choice.
After walking through the first park with a beautiful reflection in the pond I walked to a park with a castle.
The driveway to the entrance of the caste is quite long. The castle serves as a conference center and hotel at the moment.
The caste has some funny union shapes on a couple of the towers.
When I walked to the back of the caste I spotted some geese with their goslings in the grass near the pond.
There is a backdoor put of the park, bit you do have to cross this narrow bridge that has no railing in the middle. But it's wide enough to get across safely.
In the urban area between the park and the train station there are some fields with wild flowers along the sidewalks. They used to mow every couple of weeks, but now they let the flowers grow to attract pollinators. I think it's a lovely sight.
I hope you enjoyed the photos of my trip.
Photographing is my passion. Although I like photography in general, nature photography is one of my favourite subjects. I often go out with my camera for a hike to capture the beauty of nature.
I'm sharing my photos on Hive, Noise.Cash & APPICS.
I would love to read what you think of my photos in the comments.
