Hello, friends! I want to clarify right away that the food I'm going to post today wasn't actually made today. I made it on Saturday while spending time with my partner. I decided to make some delicious pork ribs and a pineapple cake that, although it didn't look very good, I can assure you it tasted delicious.

Compramos aproximadamente 600 g.

The ribs were very easy and quick. We bought approximately 600 g. I got home and started cutting them into small pieces. My way of making them this time was with some little packets I had in the fridge. Those packets are not from here; they are from abroad: we have a family member in the United States who usually sends us bags with packets of soy sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, etc. We save them and here we use them with great pleasure.

This time I used a packet where I mixed honey and a soy sauce packet, and at home, I already had a seasoning like adobo with oregano. I poured it over the ribs, obviously to taste, and put them in the fryer. ^(In the images you can see how the result turned out.)

Then I started making the pineapple cake. I used three eggs and started beating them a lot until foam formed; I spent about 8 minutes beating them continuously. Then I added approximately 150 to 200 g of sugar. I did everything without exact measurements, it was mostly by eye, because since I was sharing with my partner, I didn't do it professionally, so to speak.

After adding the sugar, I beat it a lot to the point where it became a bit fluffy. Then I added melted butter (approximately 150 grams), then the vanilla and the pineapple juice.

Here I had a small technical error: since I was so distracted cooking this and that, I forgot to take a picture of when I added the flour. I added 250 grams of flour, sifted first just in case.

Then I put it in the pot where I was going to bake it. Why? Because my partner's house doesn't have a kitchen oven; I make the cakes in an electric stove, and I put it on the lowest setting. ^(Here I show you). It usually takes about 45 minutes or sometimes an hour.

The final result was very funny, hehe, because when I unmolded it, a part of it stayed inside the pot, and well, I put it on top. That's why it looks a bit disastrous. But I always want to be very transparent in my posts because I feel that it's part of my essence and that I really like to share through this medium. And well, even though it didn't look very pretty, I can say again that it tasted very delicious.

Before this, for the caramel of the pineapple cake: first I placed 150 g of sugar and a considerable amount of pineapple juice, and I brought it to medium heat until it started to bubble or caramelize. I didn't transfer it to another container; I left it right there in the same pot where I was going to make the cake. I waited for it to cool a little, then I placed the pineapple slices on top and then the mixture. ^(That was the final result of the pineapple, as I said before).

Then, my partner and I, since it was Halloween, treated ourselves and went out to the movies to see the movie "Sinister Mother". It was really good, I liked it a lot. It touched a few nerves, so to speak. At least we agreed that we didn't want the parents to end up together at all, because of what the mother did by being unfaithful. It was a quite drastic twist when we found out that the dad wasn't her biological father but her stepfather, and we were like "wow".

The truth is we had a great time; we ate delicious food that day while cooking and doing couple activities. I hope you like this little anecdote I'm telling you, and thank you very much for always welcoming me with so much love.

¡Espero que les haya gustado! 🍖🍰🍍🎬
