🍔 Mini hamburguesa y papitas con foami moldeable / Mini burger and fries made of moldable foam

¡Hola, hola! Para variar un poco, y como quiero ir experimentando qué puedo hacer con el foami moldeable, hoy realicé una hamburguesa y unas papitas. Quiero enseñarles cómo lo fui haciendo. Realmente tuve algunos tropiezos, ¡pero de eso se trata aprender!

Hello, hello! To change things up a bit, and since I want to experiment with what I can make with moldable foam, today I made a burger and some fries. I want to show you how I did it. I actually had a few stumbles, but that's what learning is all about!

📝 Paso a paso

Step by step

1️⃣ La odisea del color marrón (El pan y la carne)

Tuve que buscar en internet cómo se realizaba el marrón. Me equivoqué con una combinación de amarillo, rojo y azul. En los dos intentos que realicé primero me salió verde, y yo decía: "¿Por qué me está pasando esto?". Tuve que buscar más información y me di cuenta de que estaba colocando las proporciones equivocadas, estaba dominando más el amarillo y el azul que el rojo. Aparentemente tiene que dominar primero el rojo. Así que agregué más rojo hasta que logré acercarme al color marrón.

Con ese marrón hice el pan de la hamburguesa y con pequeñas bolitas de foami blanco le hice el ajonjolí de la parte de arriba.

The brown color saga (The bun and the meat)

I had to search the internet on how to make brown. I made a mistake with a combination of yellow, red, and blue. In my first two attempts, it turned out green, and I said, "Why is this happening to me?". I had to look up more information and realized I was using the wrong proportions; yellow and blue were dominating over red. Apparently, red needs to dominate first. So I added more red until I got closer to the brown color.

With that brown, I made the burger bun, and with small white foam balls, I made the sesame seeds on top.

2️⃣ El queso y la carne

Para realizar el queso amarillo, solamente agarré un trozo de foami amarillo, lo puse de forma cuadrada y se lo coloqué al pan.

Para la carne tuve que hacer otra combinación de colores. Esta vez combiné primero amarillo y rojo para crear el naranja, y luego con ese mismo naranja le coloqué un poquito de azul, creando otro tono de marrón. Dependiendo de si lo quería un poquito más claro, le agregaba otro poquito de azul. Ese fue el color que coloqué para la carne.

The cheese and the meat

To make the yellow cheese, I just took a piece of yellow foam, shaped it into a square, and placed it on the bun.

For the meat, I had to make another color combination. This time I first combined yellow and red to create orange, and then with that same orange, I added a little bit of blue, creating another shade of brown. Depending on whether I wanted it a little lighter, I added a little more blue. That was the color I used for the meat.

3️⃣ Los ingredientes y el montaje

Lo más fácil de realizar fue el tomate: un círculo con foami rojo. Para la lechuga, usé el color verde tradicional que viene en los empaques de la marca que estoy utilizando. Y por arriba, coloqué el pancito con su ajonjolí.

The ingredients and assembly

The easiest thing to make was the tomato: a circle made of red foam. For the lettuce, I used the traditional green color that comes in the packaging of the brand I'm using. And on top, I placed the bun with its sesame seeds.

4️⃣ Las papitas y su cajita

Para crear las papitas, agarré foami rojo y lo moldeé un poquito como si fuera una cajita, y le coloqué una "P" por mi nombre, Patricia. Con pequeños larguitos que fui haciendo con el amarillo, fui haciendo como si fueran las papitas fritas.

The fries and their box

To create the fries, I took red foam and molded it a bit like a little box, and I put a "P" on it for my name, Patricia. With little long strips I made using the yellow foam, I made them look like french fries.

Este fue el resultado final de las dos realizaciones. Son bastante sencillas, pero realmente a mí me encantó. Considero que si aprendo a manipular mejor el foami moldeable, puedo llegar a hacer unas tonalidades de marrón un poquito más exactas. Pero como lo he venido diciendo varias veces, estoy aprendiendo, y entre el aprendizaje hay muchos errores. Hasta el más experto se equivoca. A veces lo básico puede ser una gran enseñanza para ir mejorando nuestras habilidades.

This was the final result of both creations. They are quite simple, but I really loved them. I believe that if I learn to handle moldable foam better, I can achieve even more exact shades of brown. But as I've been saying several times, I'm learning, and learning involves many mistakes. Even the most expert makes mistakes. Sometimes the basics can be a great lesson to keep improving our skills.
