The other day I was driving to the post office to ship out my last custom knife order. I had a big nasty piece headed out to Pennsylvania. It had a 5 1/2" cutting edge. For those that don't really know knives....that is pretty big. So I was thinking about a couple of the sample pieces that I had received in the mail from mase craft supply. I had a couple of sets of knife scales that were too thin to really use as scales alone, but then I realized I could build the knife to fit the scales!

So that's when I came up with the idea of this little guy. I say little, but only compared to that last big one haha. This is 7 1/4" over all length, and it is 1" wide. I paired it with some blue and black layered G10 scales. I also used 1/8"black micarta pins.

I made this between orders as a way to try to push some creativity in a new direction. I try to learn something new from every knife that I build. I learned a couple of things with this one for sure! I know I always say this, but I love being able to share my craft with you all. If you are a fan of knives, or other sharp edged tools, I would love to hear from you in the comments.

If you are looking for a custom knife, this one is available, or I can build you something personal. I accept Paypal and Crypto!
