We have had these chickens now for less than a week, and they are growing so much! Today I am taking you with me to feed and water them, and give them a bit of a check.
We have several different breeds. Ultimately, they are variations of barnyard mixes. There are some fun colors and features. It is exciting to see them growing so much.
When we brought the birds home they were previously mixed in with alot of other chicks. This creates a situation of them having to fight for food, but not anymore. We are giving them an 18% chick starter, and they are getting as much as they want.
They will be inside the coop for another week or so, and then we will let them out into the chicken yard. They will be able to scratch and peck and eat whatever they find.
