Tomorrow I go into the lion's den.
Well, not actually tomorrow because today is Monday and this post won't post until Thursday, but you won't know that, unless I tell you.

I have to go to traffic court to get my license back.

4 years ago I got pulled over for speeding.
83 in a 60.
The damn carbs on that bike weren't synched right and that was all she would give me.
If I could've hit 110, I never would have gotten the ticket.

As it was, the cop didn't bother to put a copy of the ticket in my property, so when I got out of jail, there was no ticket as far as I knew.

Fast forward 3 years, I go to get a new physical license because the cop failed to put that in my property either, and I find out that my license has been suspended all along.
I didn't show up to the hearing because I didn't know there was a hearing.

Well, on Friday I have to go to the new hearing.

I filed my motions to dismiss, requests for discovery, and Brady materials.
It's all in the packet you get from marcstevens@marcstevens.

While I was serving them on the judge, he helpfully gave me a copy of the ticket that the pig didn't bother to give me.
I think he saw the shock on my face at him violating the ex parte rule, he wasn't near as nice, nor helpful, when I went back to ask for my discovery materials.
I think he knows that I know that he violated ethics rules by doing the prosecution's job.
It is on them to see that I get served notice, not the judge.
The judge is supposed to be a disinterested third party, but we all know the truth is that he is just another agent of the state.
He doesn't stay a judge long ruling against the other agent of the state.

So, last week I went to get my discovery materials because I was ten days out from trial, but the DA said, 'we don't do discovery in traffic tickets'!
I was shocked.
No due process for me.

Ain't 'murican justice just the finest in the world?
I have to go to trial without ever seeing the evidence the state will present.

A shocking state of affairs, in my book.

You probably don't know any better.
It's not like they teach folks court procedures in their indoctrination camps.
You can only get that if you jump through some good little slave hoops.

I don't know about you, dear reader, but my sit still, shut up, and say, 'Polly wants a cracker' days were numbered after hit puberty.

I did make it through to a diploma, but not willingly.

I sure as hell wasn't sitting through 4 more years of that bs, so, I joined the army.

Two weeks later my dad tells me, 'I would've paid to send you to law skool.', to which my immediate reaction was no, I'll join the army instead, but what I was thinking in my mind was why the hell hadn't he told me that two years ago before I started bucking the system?

My dad was good for things like that.
He died angry with me that I loved freedom more than slavery.

So, any way, if I stop posting it is because I didn't get enough posts stacked up in my steempeak queue to carry over the time I spent in jail.

I refuse to pay.
I am homeless and unemployed.
Declaring that should get the fines waived.
It's close enough to the truth to qualify as true.
(I have a regular hidey hole.)

I may have to sit out my fines.
I don't mind, it's better than paying the bastards.

So, think positive thoughts for me at 2:30pm central 'murican time on Friday.
I will be trying to get them to follow their own rules.
