Inertial Drift is a game of the racing genre, which was developed by Level 91 Entertainment for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. It was released on September 11, 2020 for the above mentioned platforms. This videogame is 100% arcade; that is to say, it is very easy to play so it can be acquired even by the smallest of the family. Being an arcade game does not mean that it is boring, on the contrary it can be played by anyone, now in my case I am more of a fan of racing games where simulation plays an important role, but the truth is I tried this game and I liked it quite a lot. This game is about making drifting competitions, which as I mentioned before is dedicated to novice players but also has enough material for those users with more experience in this type of games. The best thing about these games is that they are focused on the fun of the players and not on imposing a complexity that in many things for less experienced players tend to get bored with these games. For the review, analysis and opinion of this game I will take into account the most important aspects such as playability, graphics and sounds, leaving aside the physics because the game is very arcade.

As for the gameplay it is important to mention that the game is arcade, a game that stands out quite a bit for the beginners, but it also has content for those more specialized in the subject. The game doesn't have collisions between cars, besides it doesn't have a damage system; that is to say, the cars don't have neither mechanical nor racing damages when colliding with other cars, fences or retaining walls. The difficulty in terms of driving goes from easy to moderate, with some difficulty, but nothing complicated for the players. As far as the game modes are concerned we have a story mode, a duel mode where we fight with another car gaining points every time we overtake and always making our best drifts. We also have Endurance which is an event by time, Style where we must make the best skids with a good form and style, Challenge which is where we unlock new drivers and cars, we have the grand prize mode which is a more traditional racing mode, which the truth this last one has disappointed me greatly. Besides these we have the multiplayer modes both with Internet connection and offline being the second the most prominent as here we can play with our family or friends. The maximum is 4 people, which is a good thing because there are not only two, but it is limited compared to other games.

In general terms what is the most disappointing game modes is the story mode and the plot is normal nothing interesting, like the grand prize mode which is more of the same. For the rest it seems to me that it is outstanding because it brings modes where to win is not only to cross first the line of goal, but that the form in doing the things (skids) are taken into account of a great way. What is the controls and other aspects are basic and very easy to understand something that at the same time is quite positive because we adapt quickly to the game.

As far as the graphics are concerned, the game is quite acceptable without anything that surprises us, but what I like most is the color tone that is strong and well implemented. The visual effects are pretty good, the lighting is pretty acceptable for the style of the game, while the smoke coming out of the tires at the moment of the skid is pretty good, at least from my point of view. What if as I mentioned before I am quite disappointed not to see some damage in the cars at the time of the crashes which I think is nothing real, but good that can be done in this case, since the game takes more in terms of entertainment than anything else. The textures of the cars are well created, but nothing that stands out and the scenarios are also correct, with some high details but other things that could be better. What is the operation of the game is quite good, with good fluidity and no errors, at least that I noticed.

The sound is something that I did like quite a lot, where the difference between the sounds of the engines of the cars stands out, where we notice that the roar of the engines is quite different between the models of the cars. What is the sound effects as during the cars is good, besides the grinding of the tires at the time of skids. What is the soundtrack is quite entertaining, but what if it lacks some variety, but the musical themes both on the menu and already in the tests or game modes are according to the time we are going. The game is perfectly translated into Spanish, which gives a greater scope to Spanish-speaking countries, but also in English which I think that so we can not speak the language we can adapt perfectly.

In conclusion this game is good beyond that is not perfect or with many details as other games. What I like is the mechanics that is very easy which makes it very simple even for the youngest in the house, because it takes more into account the entertainment than the gameplay and physics. But while I think it is good for some, but not for others who are quite demanding in terms of racing games or we like more simulation or at least an arcade-simulator game, but this is totally arcade. The cars have no damage at the time of collision. The game modes are very varied, but I think they are something very basic for my taste, but it doesn't stop having its interesting parts. Technically the game is not so brilliant, but it does its job, at least visually I think it still lacks the damage, but what is the modeling of the cars is pretty good, with effects and lighting quite correct. The sound is the best, with good sound effects, both of the engines and environment, besides the soundtrack. For all the said is that I give a 7.5 to the gameplay, an 8 to the graphics and a 9.5 to the sound.

For the outstanding and not so outstanding aspects of this publication, I give an 8.3 out of 10 overall score to Inertial Drift.
