I live in Cuba. I don't have much. But I have a tree, and I have this bird that chooses to sleep in it every night. And that, for me, is a luxury.

The bird that burns in my tree: a small miracle amidst the routine. Every day, this bird comes to my tree to sleep in peace, and I wait for it with my camera.

A bird, a tree, and the peace I needed: my story from Cuba.

I take photos and videos of her with my phone. I'm not a professional photographer, but I try to capture the peace she transmits. Every night I wait for her. And she never fails.

In the middle of so much noise, so many blackouts, so much uncertainty, this bird has become a small refuge. A reminder that peace doesn't always come from big things. Sometimes it comes flying, lands on a branch, and sings.

Do you have a bird or an animal that visits your home? What gives you peace in the middle of the routine?

Thank you for reading. I'm new here on Hive, and I'm sharing a little of my life from Cuba: my love for cooking, nature, and the small moments that make life worth living.
